Mounting ratio gauges??
Im thinking about getting some air/fuel gauges and maybe a couple other gauges. I would just like to know how the hell people mount them just inside the doorframe?? is there some place i need to seperately buy the housing for? Appreciate any feedback

if you mean on the A-pillar, yes you can buy a plastic piece to replace the stock one, and it will have 3 holes for gauges... cant remember where, it's called a gauge pod i believe.
or you can get a Dashdaq, have 48+ gauges with 1 single screen / wire

Dashdaq is amazing but if you want a gauge pod or pillar pod, GlowShift Performance Gauges & Pods has them for our cars.

Glowshift has big sales all the time...wait for one to come along and get the gauge pod and gauges at the same time.....much cheaper.
If you are going to get an air/fuel and plan on tuning be sure to get a wideband gauge and sensor. The other gauges just use input from your current O2 sensors and are useless when tuning.

I had this. It always seem to fall off my car. I never understood how to properly install it. So I took it off and have it boxed up :-( its a shame. It looked cool especially at night

not trying to steer you away from that, because it does look "cool" on the pillar, but if you're gonna fork $400-450 for 3 gauges, you might as well scout the internet like i did to find a good deal on a DashDaq and be done with it...
you'll get about 15x more gauges, with the possibility of hooking up a wideband O2 down the road... i thought this setup was like $100-150 at the most, but reading what a few guys said here, it doesnt make a whole lotta sense... EDIT: i guess the setup itself is only like $200'ish, $400 with the wideband sensor that you also need to buy separately with the DashDaq... but i did find a Dashdaq for $200

I would but I like it I was just trying to find someone to properly install it for me for cheap. I only paid like 130 maybe less on auto city. With like a discount code and it came with 3 gauges my choice . Wish I could find a dIY.
I don't wanna pay someone like 200 to install it. That's crazy for somthing as simple as hooking up a few wires

Quick how to.
To remove stock piller remove SRS oval, remove screw under the oval, the rest is cliped on so gently remove Test fit new piece over top of the original piller. This pod is not a replaicement piece its a cover over the cover. The new piller comes with a few screws and decrative caps. You have to drill through both pieces to then screw them together. I screwed two on the back edge that would land under the rubber door seal to hide them. And one close to the winshield where it cant be easily seen. I didnt want to see the screws. Now you will have to remove them from eachother. The original piller will have to have a larger hole drilled in it to run the wires through. I drilled this about where the bottom gauge would endup. I then wired up all the gauges and mounted them in the piller pods. Then I ran the wires through the original piller cover and down in the dash. Now comes the tricky part. To get it all to stay up. You have to mount your original piller cover first. Push all the clips back in and put that screw back in aswell. I did not put the SRS oval back on. Now you have to squeze the new piller pod over the original one. While keeping the wires where there supposed to be. Now those 3 holes I drilled for the screws. I just re installed those. 2 are covered by the rubber and the last one I put the decrative cover on. I did paint my piller pod and decrative cover piece first. I hope this helps. I can try to find a few of the pics I took along the way and make a proper how to. But I didnt take many pics and I figured so many guys have this that somebody had allready done a how to.

Then of course you have to wire it all into the car.

I have the glowshift pod. Its a cover. It fits much better as a cover anyway. How did you mount it? There is no mount on the pod.
