Is there a stock amp in the eclipse? where?

I were to take the crappy 10 inch sub out, and throw in a better one would i get have better bass? or am i looking for a better amp as well?

the oem head unit only works with stock speakers or sub as far as i know . call rockford fosgate and find out if they have a compatible replacement for the stock sub or speakers thats what i would do.

i dont mind the sound system its amazing for stock.

^ agreed... I got the sound package and have only replaced my two door speakers with Alpine Type-S and it sounds AMAZING!

Eh,... i can agree with both of you about the stock being better, but coming from my 3g with full setup, i've heard much better, and I know others have too. However, the only thing I don't like about our stock setup is the amp going to the front speakers and the sub, leaving the rear and tweets to the weak HU. Not very balanced. I was considering just replacing the speakers and rewiring the amp to front and rear (and adding one for new sub), but I think I will eventually redo this one too. I just really want to find a hack/workaround for the e-comm thing, if I could contribute anything to the scene.
