Interior Dash Lights

I am currently interested in changing the dash lights on the inside of the car from blue to red. So pretty much anythign that lighst up blue in the car i want to swap over so it reads red. I know for the most part its all about taking the entire panel apart undoing the leds that are sodered in and puting in the desired color led you want. heres my question has anyone done this before in this car or have a DIY or a write up.

Not necessarily... and messing with the circuit boards might even mess your whole electrical system up if you're not experienced with this sort of stuff

Ever considered blacking out the existing set of LEDs and custom-rigging in series some LED array and retrofitting this underneath the panels? In cases where you have blue tinted bulbs and shrouds for that blue effect, a little acetone will wipe the area clean to reveal an amber hue instead of blue. I haven't looked inside the gauge cluster personally to see if that's the case in there. Either way, power for such setups can be had via tapping into the interior (dome/accessory) light circuit via the cabin fuse box. If you go that route, it would always be wise to use that source as switched power instead of constant - finding a more reliable local source (i.e. ignition) that can handle more load than the 20-30A sources in the fusebox.

In the case of the HVAC controls, you really can't change the blue colors unless you change the stencils themselves.

Good luck!

i was told in another thread that the bulbs are welded on. so switching them would be nearly impossible...this deterred me. ill just go with blue lights lol
