AEM FI/C PnP Harness
Well, it seems that there's a big demand for a harness for the AEM F/IC, SOOOO...I'm going to make them!!!
They will be similar to the prototype harnes I'm running now...with one difference, you will have to heat shrink a few more wires since one of the plugs that was used is only available by purchasing a complete engine harness...no biggie, will take about 5 more minutes to install. Ok...here's the deal...I will eventually need your AEM F/IC pigtail to finish the harness, so that will need to be sent to me once you receive the unit. The price for the harness will be $285 shipped to the lower 48. These will all be hand wired. You will get the harness as well as an INSTALLATION DVD like I did with the SCM.1 Shift Control Module...it will detail everything you need to know. You WILL NOT have to cut into any wires on your stock harness... It will be COMPLETELY REVERSIBLE... It would only take approximately 15 minutes to remove if needed. The unit will need to be mounted under the steering column like I did on the prototype, it's really the best place for it. If you are interested in one, just contact me on here, you can post or PM. As of now these will only be available for the GT model. I'll get some pictures up soon of the final product...will come with the harness, install DVD, schematic, zip ties, heat shrink, firewall grommet and channel, misc. crimp terminals to assist in wiring the power connections...everything you'll need to install this yourself. We got some nice close-up video of the connectors and pins you'll need to interface as well...and you could actually hook up the harness off just the schematic, it's very detailed. It's nice to have the supporting video though, to show you the tricks for removing the connector pins. To install the harness, you'll need the following: 1. Needle nose pliers 2. 1" metal hole saw 3. Silicone 4. 10mm wrench, or deep well socket 5. Heat gun or lighter for the heat shrink tubing 6. Electrical tape Here are some pictures of the "MASTER" prototype harness... ![]() ![]() You have to cut a 1" hole in the firewall ![]() ![]() ![]() Injector harness... ![]() This will be a little different... ![]() Here's where the F/IC gets mounted... ![]() ![]() |

the only part im worried about is how im going to get a 1" hole in the firewall lol....not sure if my air drill can do something like that.
for drilling through something like the firewall whats more important, the drill strength or the drill bit being used? |

Quote:
![]() Make sure to get a "bi-metal" hole saw...also, make sure to get one with the centering drill bit like shown in the picture...this one is under $10 at lowe's...this will put a 1 inch hole in the firewall in about 10 seconds. |
