cant pass inspection???

so i went to the local Bradzoil to ge tmy inspection today. everything is going fine and i have all legal parts on my car... cat and everything. so im not expecting any trouble. so he calls me out and tells me that i failed b/c of my turning signal bulbs!!! MY MOTHER F***N STOCK TURNING SIGNAL BULBS THAT I GOT FROM THE FACTORY THAT IVE NVR HAD A DAMN PROBLEM WITH BEFORE!!!! he sad that the "pearlescent bulb" is illegal! i was speechless! how the hell did i pass the last few yrs then u ass wipe adn why would the factory manufacture something that is illegal to drive with! so just to screw with him i turned on my 8KHIDs headlights and my 10k HID foglights and asked if they passed. he goes "ya those pass with flying colors b/c those are the stock halogen bulbs!!!!"

my damn jaw dropped! 1) they arent halogen bulbs they are HID 2) these are more blue then the damn shores of hawaii!! 3) these damn turning signals are stock just like u think my "halogens" are... and they flash yellow! friggin idiot!
so i go to a second place and they tell me the same thing, but also fail me b/c of my projector eyelids! saying that i was covering up part of the light beam. i tried to explain that the only thing that was being covered up was the eyebrow that served no purpose at all!

WTF guys? has any 1 ever had this problem???

People who don't know HID from Halogen shoouldn't be doing inspections. End of.

ya i think im just gunna take it to either a local mexican mom&pop shop or to a place JB4g told me to try! just very frustrating when i can tell some 1 that they dont know what they are talkin about when thats what they do for a living... and im still semi new to the modding scene!!

I just got mine inspected by the drive thru one on bandera and huebner, and the guy said nothing about my projectors, eyelids, turns, or 8k hids. He was an old guy too. He did measure how low my car was and said it was getting close to being illegal. Never heard of that before. Anyways, sounds like bs. Sucks you had to pay for some dumbass to fail your car for nothing. Just go when some other guy is there and hopefully he'll be cooler and more knowledgable.

Yeah. They're sylvania silverstar bulbs. As far as I know all 4g's have them in the front and back turns. They sell them everywhere, even damn walmart has them. That guy sounds like a douche. Should have showed him the owners manual.

2 yrs, 20k miles and no problems. rides better than stock to me. can't beat them for $79 shipped. hahaha.

we're both from san antonio, texas, and yeah, the guy actually got out a yard stick and measured how far my car was from the ground. i thought he was joking at first, cause i had a 95 integra that was slammed alot lower than my eclipse. he said some shit about a car being too low is considered reckless driving or something. still don't know what he was talking about. luckily, we still don't have strict emission testing like some of the other cities in texas. yet.
