I could not do it!!!
I did like a runaway bride and left the GT SE at the altar, As much as I would love the GT SE, I simply cannot depart with my GS, this car has saved my ass so many times, I already know its paces in shifting, and I remember how hard I worked to afford the down payment to get it in the first place, it became more then a car to me lol. You guys think I must be crazy as hell.

DUDE!!!! You gotta get a GT man!!! Especially if you have the ability and opportunity!!! I had already welcomed you into the family and everything too =( Dont get cold feet haha your down payment and everything is being transferred to the new car. Imagine all your mods on the GT now and having some UMF behind the sexiness
having GO and SHOW

naw I think it's cool that you like the GS that much. there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the GS! it's a sweet little car. if you don't race and don't plan to run from the cops, then what is the point of a GT? if you don't need the power, keep the GS!! if you want a turbo, you can boost up the GS and there you go!

lol thanks Joey, good to know I am not crazy, but yeah, I dont plan to do any racing or cop running, just want a sweet little car with some power. and I like the idea that I can mess around with it and make it a beast of a GS.

forsworn71 nah, for some reason when I sat in the car, as I looked and drove it, the car did not vibe with me. the funny thing is my GS feels so much faster.

like said before, your down payment is being transferred over anyway. you don't have to run from the cops to buy a gt, but can, haha. maybe it feels weird at first because you're not used to it, but the first time your doing 60mph and throw it into 3rd, crank it to 84mph and throw it into 4th to about 112mph, you say,"damn! I should of got one of these a long time ago" just my opinion, but I don't know why you wouldn't want something better if it's available.

lmfao what randman? I could not abandon my car, I have not given up the idea of a GT, simply stating I am gonna wait till after my wedding, then I can be one of the few elite members with 2 4G eclipses a GT and a GS. plus as Techno Viking says

I agree with how you feel, I don't know if I could part with my car. I could certainly buy another one though

it may have just been the car itself, but It honestly was slower then my car, it may have been a shitty car overall or needed a tune up.

Yeah but when it came crunch time, I seriously could not give my car up, as for the GT being slower, I shift pretty effectively, I dont shift usually till I hit 2800 RPM's and at the most 3000RPM's but the GT was sluggish, and it took alot longer for me to get up to speed.

Let me simply say this, from the stop light, I was beating in acceleration by a fucking beetle,I was pushing it too and it would not take off. thats probably what put the final straw and I did not want to take it. I was aware of the weight difference but nothing, it felt like I was carrying a anchor behind me.

If I floored that car any further my foot would be in engine. it simply did not take off, regardless, I am happy with my GS, I am gonna work on it to make it a GS-Turbo.

not even, with my GS if I floor it, my tires will spin out a bit and will squeal..that GT was well... lame as fuck, it felt like the car was depressed and did not really enjoy moving anymore.

I understand a GT is supposed to and is more powerful then my GS but that GT was not, and I am not gonna buy a GT based on name alone, it was probably a GT on it's last legs. In time I will get a GT, but just not now.

I respect where your coming from. I love my GS I have NEVER had a major problem just some here and there. And being that this is my first car could not imagine trading it in. That being said i think if i had the chance finacially I would fall in to the dark side with the GT'S
Being searching the Forum to much been hearing so many good things about them.

if I was rich, I would have a fucking fleet of Eclipses from 1G to 4G's and all custom designed, and I would have a different eclipse for every day of the week.
