Driver's Seat Motor

Hi all, first time poster here. My gf's 2006 has a borken drivers seat. It is a power seat but does not move. The stealership says its a fuse and costs around $300.00 (according to her). I think it is probably the motor they are replacing for $300.00. Anyone have a line on where I can swing one? Ebay was dry. The car has grey leather seats if that matters.... I feel I only need the motor though not a whole seat.

You could probably start here, if you don't see the part call them, they can order it in for you. Prices are much better then the stealership!!
http://www.partswebsite.com/courtesy...=parts&tpd=yes

Also once you do start working... very important... you MUST disconnect the battery first, there are SRS System wires and components in the seat and surounding area, and if you don't disconnect the battery you WILL set-off the SRS System Warning Light, and or worse, and it will cost you $100 at the stealership to have the system reset, and yes, they are the only ones who can reset the system!! Also it is not so uncommon for a connector to come loose, or have a relay go bad, but before you stick your hand under the seat or messing with wires and relays, make sure you are touching the right parts, and better yet if under the seat... DISCONNECT THE BATTERY!! Here are some links you might need, you'll need Adobe Acrobate to read the files.

Hope this will help !!

LOL!!

Nope, it's just that I've been through the manual so many times... I haven't got it memorized yet, but I'm working on it !!

But really, it's the best source for information we have, and if it's good enough for the dealership to use to take away our hard earned money, then it should be good enough for us to use to solve a few simple problems to save us some hard earned money.

I don't mind paying someone for a job well done, but seriously, how many times has someone posted shit like, "They said it was caused by my CAI". And at $300+ per visit to the stealership to hear crap like that, I don't mind helping others out!!

Thanks for the kudos!!
