Difficult to close the trunk?

Does anyone else find they need to put a lot of force into closing their trunk? If I don't, I find that the trunk never closes all the way.

Same here, it always needs alittle extra push to close completely on mine. I think it's the rubber seal.

OK, with your truck open, same for your front hood also, on each corner you will see a rubber stop, one on each side. By hand, you can screw this up or down as needed. Some times these will go out of adjustment, if to far in the trunk can rattle, or if to far out can make it difficult to close the trunk. If this does not help, then you'll have to adjust the trunk lock-gate.

i have the opposite problem. all i need is a slight force, like just taping with my finger and it will close all the way. i think the gas struts are about dead

Well if it drops quickly without having to give it some force then your struts are bad, i.e. like your front hood, it just slams if you let go of the hood.
