Well guys I'm very sad to say ive lost my car. How you ask? Well I had a CAI on my car and during this massive storm parts of where I live flood and back up in certain areas. So I come around the corner and find myself right into a massive puddle that's flooded 3 lanes of traffic, I hit this puddle and my intake turned into a snorkel... Insurance estimated damage at 18,000$. So plz ppl be careful and dOnt let what happened to me happen to you. Only good thing is I get a cheque for the car based on my original bill of sale on my 07 GT ... but im gonna miss my car.. Time to move onto something different

damn !
i heard the rain was crazy in Edmonton indeed, i'd better tell the GF to be careful with my car while i'm away...
$ 18k is ridiculous though, i had an engine put in for less than $ 10k, and i probably got raped in the process since i was 800 miles away from my car and in a rush...but anyway, that sucks ass big time... if you did get your money back though, i guess it's not THAT bad... why dont you get another Eclipse ?

As much as I want an eclipse again it's no use anymore I'm almost jman electrician so I think I'm getting either a truck or an suv type.. But whatever I get needs to be faster then my eclipse lol so well see..also want a standard truck as well so ha..Ya edmontons stupid lately, I live in st albert and parts always flood during rain like this.

How does an engine cost 18K? isnt the rest of the car undamaged?
I would think they would pay to fix the engine b4 totaling the whole car...

the Raptor looks 100 times better than a regular F150, and i'm sure it performs overly well too !

Ya but it's also stupid expensive but I am getting the F150 Eco boost. took her for a drive and she goes... Fast lol so ya sucks I'm gonna miss my car but I'm atleast coming out ahead. And as to how I didn't notice it, it's cause I cam around a free flow lane and it was as soon as u came around corner I saw it as I looked forward again after shoulder checking.....

Yo be hella careful with the eco boost f150, couple guys at one of the shops I go to just picked one up and were complaining to me about how it wouldnt get out of the 4cyl highway mode anymore
