so i was at the mitsubishi dealership the other day and was talking to a salesman. he informed me the the 2012 eclipse will be the last of the eclipse. anyone have any info on this matter? i really hope its not

For 2012 the Mitsubishi Eclipse receives three (slight) changes: Brake override logic, a clear lip spoiler on the GT trim, and one new exterior color. This will be the final model year, albeit a short run because production will end in August 2011.

I'd hardly say the eclipse is affordable.

If you where to buy the eclipse new with every single option I have in my car the retail is $32,000 on Mitsubishi website.

up here in Canada you're easily over $ 40k if you get a fully-loaded GT..
a Cobalt SS is what, $ 25k? Mustang V6, same performance as the GT, if not better, $ 30'ish k...
the Eclipse is not cheap, but it's damn freakin' sexy just like a hot girl i guess

I hope they just leave it dead. To be honest they eclipse hasnt been good since they stop making gst/x. Our cars are pretty but the aftermarket support is awful and theres just not shit worth doing.

the aftermarket support is crap. some of the things they were making are not being made anymore and its bull. theres always things worth doing if thats what you want to do. i love my car and will work on it till its done. i could work on something else but i dont want to. its all up to the person what what they like. custom parts are becoming m best friend, plus i work at a shop so i pretty much make all my parts.

Yes but, I notice you live in NC like me and lucky for you you're in fayvetteville because if you want any quality work on a Mitsu you have to drive there. It sucks.
