Can't decide which springs I want...
So I want a nice drop to get rid of the horrible wheel gap, but not so low that I bottom out on every speed bump.
I will be ordering these tomorrow or Sunday so I am just trying to make one final decision. My choice right now is between the Progress springs and the Tein H.Techs. My car is the GT 08, and wheel/tire size is 235/50 on 18's. So based on what others have used (yes I have read reviews and now it comes down to this)-- What would you recommended? Will the progress fill the gap significantly with my wheel/tire combo? Or is my best bet the Tein H.Techs, without going to low to occasionally rub? Your feedback will support my final buying decision so lets hear it! |

Save up for coilovers, fully adjustable to get the right ride height with no rubbing, and the car will ride better...
if you dont like the way the car sits or rides after you install springs, theres not much you can do to change it.. I didnt have very good luck with my Prokits(kept blowing out my strut tower bearing) I currently have my oem springs back on untill I can afford coilovers........Good luck with whatever you choose...

I would save up for coils.
If they are out of your price range get the htechs.

i have the tein s techs.... they gave me a 2" drop... i don't scrape on speed bumps, but scrape in other areas, especially inclined driveways which seem to be all around tulsa
all in all, for less than $200, i've been quite pleased |

The coil-overs are the ultimate but cost the big $$$. I have the Prokits and have been pleased. They are only a 1.5" drop but I have a body kit and still scrape a lot.

Ok so H.techs seem like the way to go, now I am also interested in coilovers, however here is my problem: I don't care to ever really adjust the height or anything, the ride comfort doesn't bother me much, and for the price to rebuild a coilover is about equal as the price (from what ive read/heard, about $100) to just get new struts, and actually more because the rears are only $50.00 for kyb GR2.
Not to mention the big fee up front. |

The progress are nice but could use a better drop in the back. The front was great. But you have to look out where you can go. So i'd try s or h tech.

Lol, changed my mind all the sudden...I decided I am just going with the Pro-kit for now. Especially since the roads are crappy around here! I may change my mind in the future, but thanks everyone for input, Ill post pics when finished with install.
