GS or GS Sport?

This is gonna sound really dumb but I was talking with a customer at work who was claiming to know everything about the 4G Eclipse and we got to talking about the MIVEC engine. I told him I have a 2011 GS with a I4 MIVEC and he called bullshit on me and said that's "impossible". He said "only the GS Sport had a MIVEC and everything moving forward from that" I said... Do you want me to pop my hood and show you my MIVEC?

So what's this asshole all about? I'm 100% sure I have a GS so did the 2011 GS come factory with MIVEC or do I have a GS Sport and not know it? Haha.

He's a douche and u should slap him. All Gs have the same enigne just like all GT's have the same engine. The only difference in a "sport" model would be the trim level and may be added by a couple of extra features like sunroof or leather, rims, paint, or body. Tell this guy to go play in traffic.

Left hand side next to the screw driver says MIVEC. That's what I thought though. That guy was shot out anyways haha.

Clessy has a spectacular aura about
The GS sport is just the Giant Gt wing, moon roof, leather and a fogs. Same thing as the Se before it.

The 2011 gs sport does not come with the gt wing and dont forget the Rockford fosgate system..

I bought just the gs because I didnt want to spend 5k extra for shit I didnt need(power leather seats, sunroof, and I think the stock stereo does just fine)..
The only thing I wanted that the sport had was fogs, and the dealer installed them for $200..

Not to mention, those extras on the gs sport are added weight to a struggling 2.4L

If you live in "The best place on earth", I can understand the sunroof, but why would you want heated sticky hot leather seats? Unless the best place on earth is Alaska

Stainless steel (ss) braided lines. In this case, hooj smexy ones for the radiator, and most of the other blue tubes are dress up or straight up hose replacements. SS lines are always better than stock, and the other tubes are for that "oOo" noise your gas neighbor makes when you pop the hood at the station.

I love that color you've got on the valve cover! You should spot that around a few other places.

I know Spectre makes a bunch of products along those lines (Spectre Performance - Official Site), I had to go through them on one of my past cars that needed a "custom" intake due to nobody making one for me. There's probably more higher end wallet busting manufacturers too, possibly even tailored just for the Eclipse... I've owned mine for a week so yeah, probably should've just kept my mouf shut right from the get go.

Don't want to answer any more for him lest it looks like I hijacked his engine bay. To be fair, I probably would if I could.

Spectre Performance 7496 - Spectre Performance Magnabraid Engine Dress-Up Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

i bought this whole kit but i was only interested in doing the upper radiator hose (not the lower at first). there is only enough for 1 of the hoses in the kit. i found just a single roll for the lower hose but i forget where.

Oh, called that one, Spectre. Their intake stuff isn't total junk it just feels like junk when you're building your own sans mounts and looking at pics of custom built 1pc units... no drilling, no grommets... I almost ruined a 45 bend when my drill slipped.

FearleZz what's the diameter of the tubing directly to the left of the headers? The biggest blue tube you got in there. I did 3/8 for the smaller stuff so far.
