Retro bumper

Ok, this would be WAY down the road...But
Other than the obvious$$
Will the 09+ bumper & grill setup fit(as in the same bolt holes) on my 07?
Currently waiting for a response from my local dealer (http://www.swopemitsubishipartsdirec...hi/eclipse/)on the pricing for the whole setup...BIG ouch pending LOL
Just wondering if anyone's ever checked this through to the point of the underlying parts.

Direct fit you just gotta lengthen your fog light harness! Thanks for searching but try a little harder next time bc there are several threads! But yes it's a direct swap except for fogs! Just lengthen the harness

As in the padding under the cover is the same?
I did figure that the bolts was the same. One of my BIG gripes on mine is that there's NO lower grill to protect the condenser.
It would be SWEET if the cover and grill was all I needed

Ok, thank you!
I just have always had a hard time searching ANY forum, they need to be "Googlized"
Get tired of " Not Found" results when I know damn well that there's something there..

I've seen one grill set that was a mesh thing but didn't like that it was too flush with the front edge of the bumper, rather have it inset, like the upper stock one.
But to be honest...I really like the newer bumper style : )

Not bad...
Got the reply from my dealer on the parts today, it went like this:

I would like to know the total parts price of, and IF the 09+ front bumper is possible to bolt on to a 2007 Eclipse, including fog lights, grill, ect.
Thank you.
-----------------------
Yes the bumper will fit. The bumper with fogs/grille it will be 326.36. Every thing else from the 07 will bolt up to the 09 bumper, far as shipping i would have to get a quote.

-----------------------

Now waiting on a shipping price since it's direct online selling. Then to get a price on painting the bumper.
Hell, I was looking at $180 for just the fogs for the 07 bumper, plus I have the 3 holes from the freakin' plate holder, plus I wanted to add a lower grill.
This may just happen ASAP

Well hell, Now that I look at the newer version in black I'm less impressed with the look of it. That just kinda kills it to me not having the black center of the grill area contrasting with the body color(it's all black). Being all black just makes it plainer than my stock bumper(I DO like the grill in the bottom).
Still tempting, waiting on final pricing. May just stick with plan "A" and just get the fogs and try to match the lower grill to the upper.

Thanx, I'll let you know if I end up going that way.
I did get a reply on the shipping today...

Shipping estimates at $117. The bumper should come in black, if you give me a VIN number, sometimes we can order bumper pre painted through Mitsubishi. Yes we can paint it for you, but we can’t be liable for scratches in the paint during shipping. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact us.

Wish they weren't so vague on the painted part. If their original quote holds for a painted bumper that's freakin' awsome! I mean $443 for a painted bumper, grills & fogs SHIPPED ain't too bad.

Ok, damn. I found a thread from Gigastar while Googling:
How To: 09+ Front Bumper Fog Light Adaption
Told you I hate forum searches. Oh well, thanx Gigastar for the tip on the wiring adapter for the fogs.

If your bumper is in good condition im looking to trade my 2012 bumper for a 06-08. Just remember the fog lights from the dealership is 200, so the bumper alone from your dealer isnt too bad.

The swap sounds like a plan, but packaging & shipping would be a bitch I'd imagine
Other than the 3 holes from the license plate holder & a lil scuffing under the chin mine is perfect.

"mod" as far as "upgrading" to the newer style front end, yes, even if I have to do it one piece at a time current funds may dictate the timing of this project.

OK..Duh! LOL I now understand "MOD" : )
No, I don't see a prayer of going

Ok, today's reply from the dealer:

Alright we have everything straight now. Everything on the ‘07 will fit right up to ‘09(under shields, supports, etc.). For the parts and shipping will be 473.34. After further discussion with our P&S director, we can not pre-paint this before shipping. It will come in a Natural White. Sorry for any inconvenience this may be to you. Thank you, if you have any further questions just let us know.
Thank You,
Steven Harrington
Swope Mitsubishi & Hyundai
Parts Manager

I replied now to find out the part/price breakdown, to see the individual pricing. Still would need paint.
Really thinking bout Screw it, and just concentrate on the projectors & fogs.

Why not buy a bumper off ebay for $150 shipped to you. There's a few black ones right now on it.

Then I'd be worried about the condition of it, bolt holes, scratches.
Hell, the dealer won't even paint & ship with any guarantee.
If it ain't new & fresh, or an in person deal I don't wanna chance it. But thanx for the input
