Sunset Pearl paint?!

i have a 2006 GS with the sunset pearl paint... has anyone else had an issue with it weathering so badly?! i havent even had my car 6 years and the roof is already speckled white in many places... im embarassed to be seen in such a horrible looking thing

there's always a sunset pearl parked at my job with the most ridiculously weathered paintjob i've ever seen on a car in my lifetime. i thought it was only an issue with the kalapana black ones. sorry to hear..contact ur dealer maybe?

Mine is fine, the paint is super soft, prone to rock chips. I've had mine since the end of '07 and mine is doing great. I get comments on it all the time. I also claybar/wax mine every 2-3 months and throw on extra wax every 3-4 weeks.

yeah i do take care of it... sadly i wash and wax it when i can (its never nice enough here ever) and someone said it was either buffed too much in that spot when i got my car fixed from a wreck or their wasnt enough clear coat on it to begin with

Yea, you gotta take care of your paint, got to wax a minimum of 2 times a year. I 've had mine 3 yrs , and the paint still looks new, aside from a few gravel chips in front and those got covered when I blacked out the front-- CHOP

Mine is in perfect condition. Got it July 2007. I wash it about once every month or 1.5 months, wax maybe every 3 months, clay once a year. It's garage kept. Roads aren't bad around here though, so it doesn't get too dirty.

As far as chips, yea there are a few on the front bumper and on front part of hood. Not bad, and not noticeable unless you're like 6 inches away looking for them.
