Update on status of my eclipse - Club4G Forum : Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G Forums - 2006-2012 Eclipse Authority

So had my vehicle towed to a Mitsubishi dealer as advised by my USAA representative and was told that upon first inspection the engine wiring harness is fried and will need a extra 330 dollars worth of labor to see what else is going on. Okay fine go ahead, well the motors also hydrolocked as I suspected. So I call my insurance they come and look at it and say "we are gonna cover the engine and replace it with one with 38,000 miles on it, but we will not cover the engine wiring harness because it is a wear and tear issue or a workmanship issue and did not come from water damage." Fuck me right?!?! Also Mitsubishi calls me today to tell me that my driver side window no longer works and that will cost 108 dollars for them to investigate, I say no thanks. Also they notify me that they need a 3000 dollar deposit for the engine and my insurance isnt willing to pay them up front. Fuck me twice?!?!?! So my main issue is this, the wiring harness they say its going to cost 700 dollars plus 12hrs of labor at 108 dollars an hour to fix, if they cant repair the existing harness. Does anybody have any other suggestions or ideas. I need help here guys I've successfully given myself a migraine and the next stop is me having an aneurysm.

PS sorry for the novel kinda had to vent.

does the BrianJ harness replace the stock one? i'm not sure but that could be an option...

Yes have it totaled out that's rediculios bullshit I'm sure replacing the wiring harness is a bitch and expensive it's time consuming

@rdelaney trust me I wish It would have caught fire these bastards will buy me a whole new engine but say hey dude you come up with 2000 dollars for the harness.

I'm a complete fucking newb to this insurance business, but I wish I could tell them to total it. It would make my life way easier.
