What GM did to the Camaro... you mean take almost 30 years to get it right?

Marketing. It's all marketing... there's no reason to drop a successful car, even though the Lancer could easily carry them, unless there's some kind of marketing plan in the works to build up some interest and then put it back out there when demand is highest.

Exactly. Except I think they got it right with the later 3rd gens. 2nd and 4th...bullshit in my opinion. But thats what happened. Even though the 4th gens sucked, sales were low, there was still public outcry when the 'discontinued' it. 8yrs later its way popular again, mostly cuz they did a throw back to the 1st gen.

But I digress...I'm just hoping that like you said, with the eclipse that they take it away....everyone gets upset, and in a couple years(hopefully not 8) they bring it back better than ever.
