Timing belt

So it's around that time, I plan to take some vacation next year to get this replaced. I was curious though what gets replaced along with the timing belt and how much does it cost.

I"ll call around a few local shops here and ask them how much they charge to do this. I know the water pump is also replaced but what else?

I would have it done at the dealership however, there isn't a mitsu dealer where I am within 75 miles. I'm not going that far to have this done.

Thanks.

PS if anyone is in macon or warner robins, GA, let me know where you recommend to have this done.

JUst had my front brakes replaced and rear brake assembly torn apart and regreased, though the pads were still perfect after a year.

I assume they also replace water pump. is the water pump in that 400? Seems rather low if it's with.

I live in warner robins and Ill do it for you for $200 plus parts. you can simply replace the belt, or get into replacing tensioners, water pumps. etc...depends on how much you want to spend. I done have the manual for the v6, so i cant look at it and tell u, i only printed out the 2.4 because thats what i have. you can get the factory manual for this job on-line for $24

Mach1219, I actually emailed ASX that new place that has been open for a couple of years on corder rd. and they said they'd do it for like 483. Total cost for everything including the timing belt and water pump. On the subject of my paint, they can't help me there till I visit a paint shop. I assume they can do this job in a day? Tiresplus did my dad's car and took them half a day.

also, should the stock plugs that are in the GT be changed a 60k or 100k? I heard they are NGK iridiums.

can be done in a day, no problems. But of course, they may run into a problem, like anything mechanical, and take longer

the iridium plugs in my 2.4 are good for 100K, so i imagine yours are the same

had a P0455 code today. CHecked my gas cap and it was Off! I was like how the??? Any way I think I put it on and took it off like 4-5 times to make sure it was not going to come off. When I get my timing belt and water pump put on, I'll have them reset my SES to make sure it does not come back on. If it does, most likely a stuck EGR valve.
