almost wrecked my car
I got the video on you tube of the car that almost hit me. i was so pissed i had to record him just incase.
the guy who tried to hit me - youtube I CAN'T POST YOU TUBE VIDS AT WORK. ( RESTRICTIONS ) ----so you will have to maually search it. ----ALL IT IS IS A VIDEO OF THE CAR THAT TRIED TO MAKE ME HAVE AN ACCIDENT. A REAL P.O.S.! ok heres my story. the other day i was leaving work early and there is an on ramp that i enjoy driving hard because its a beautifull s-curve. i usually hit the apex of the final curve at about 75-85. ( i try to push it ) well im coming down of this on ramp and an old ass pontiac grand prix cut two lanes over from his on ramp. the two merge together. Well i had to slam on my brakes. i was super pissed of so i slammed third gear and went to catch up with him. when i was about 35 feet from his bumper he slammed on his brakes. when i saw his bumper lift up off the ground i reacted so quickly i didn't even have time to brake. i swerved to the left and the tires instantly started loosing grip and i started heading towards the wall. out of no where my traction light and my ASC light started flashing and i could feel the car doing something. it was like the car was trying to get grip. the engine fluttered and the car shook hard for about 40 feet and then it just evened out. i ended at about 40 mph. it was AWESOME. the car took over and saved itself from the wall. i can't speak enough about the ASC system on the car. it did something. i have spun out before and slid out but this was different. you could feel the car trying to get traction and slow itself down. |

ASC has saved me as well. shit is good stuff.
I'm not going to encourage your flying on an on ramp at 85, as most are 35mph for a reason. many times its because people realize (GPS) that their exit is about to pass so they will do the craziest things like cut three lanes just so they don't miss the exit. be careful next time and be glad it didn't end up worse. Had you been going the speed limit none of this would have happened...not being an ass, just my .02

errr... no, if the other driver was f***in paying attention, this would not have happened...
too easy to always blame speed when clearly one dumb ass endangered another driver by doing something stupid, ie. cutting across 3 lanes... most on ramps have a speed limit of 35 because the average driver is too f***in retarded to make it any faster while texting, drinking, watching videos on their brand new touchscreen or fighting with the kids... you know we have these "incident report forms" at my work... i've been saying it for a long time, we need one more tick box for "cause of incident" : STUPIDITY !!!! same thing with road accidents... back to topic, Jesse, glad you are OK and that the Eclipse proved to be a life saver once again !! too bad it doesnt have lasers integrated in the front bumper to disintegrate dumb drivers

Suppose this driver had some legitimate reason for slowing down suddenly, like a mechanical failure or there was an injured person lying in the road. It's up to you to follow at a safe distance, and to be in control of your vehical to avoid him, not the other way around. Take it easy in traffic, and if you are going to drive like an ass then at least do it in a place where your actions don't endanger innocent people. for the love of god stay away from Charleston, SC.... I'm used to driving at high speeds in and around Atlanta, but the people here LIKE to drive 10 under the speed limit, cut through parking lots at high speeds, or cross 3 lanes of traffic unaware because they're on the damn phone. Btw, they're usually always a soccer mom.
But yeah, I'd take it easy with those ramps... they're idiot magnets. |

Glad ur ok.
Heres some edifying principles of the recommended speed for on/off ramps. Normally these speeds are recomended by the engineers that built them to keep top heavy loaded trucks from overturning. They calculate the amount of g forces created by the curve and bank at various speeds. Thats why at an interchange you will see aa ramp marked 45mph and you can easily do 90 around it (with a sticky set of tires) in the mitsu and your ass pinches the seat when you take it at 50 in a big truck. Off ramps you have to be especially carefull of because they might get backed up, or dude in front of you might realize hes taken the wrong exit and quickly and decisively slam on their brakes and try to get back on the freeway. Be carefull ou there everyone |

that is possibly the lamest thing you could have said. yes i know that i was being a dumbass but the guy swerved over two lanes to cross infront of me and the on ramps are single lane and he crossed the white line to cut me off. so it would have been his fault initially but after that it would have been my fault. the only reason i raced up on him was because he cut me off really bad and almost caused me to wreck first so i was pissed |
