Broken wheel stud
So my rear wheel stud has been broken, and I just saw Orangecrush's guide for replacing it, so i figured what the heck might as well. BUT the problem I have run into is after getting rotor and brakes off, as well as the four bolts on the back, I can't manage to get the brake assembly/hub off! I have pulled and pulled, and sprayed with pb blaster for a couple hours, and pulled some more but it won't budge!
Is it just that it is seized or is there a trick to this? |

Actually, now my problem is after i get the assembly off, i cant figure out how to separate the hub wheel bearing part from the e brake assembly.
Anybody know how to get this apart? I read the post, where it says pry with your fingers, but I don't get what I am pulling off, nothing is coming off with my fingers very easily. Last edited by mayday295; December 6th, 2011 at 11:16 PM. |

Also, now my parking break is making a lot of spring squeaks if I apply it, then try to rock the car back and forth (only sound coming from the one I just finished working with). Does that normally happen?
