? about weatherstrip under hood in front of intake nozzel

I noticed that in both cornors of the weatherstrip at the front of the hood has some type of brown residue in the shape of a circle on both sides, if u pull back on the cornor of the strip on right and left side you should see it, it looks like when they installed it from manufacture they tried to use some adhesive dabbed in both cornors, kinda looks like brown rust, wont wipe off, i got this picture off google to give a example of where to look cause i dont have my car right now..... i have warranty so im wondering if this is normal, its identical on both sides of the strip, a brown circle like they dabbed glue to hold the cornors but their not glued cause i can pull the strip away from fiberglass in the cornors, all that holds it on is the small clips that pop in?????????, im talking bout the strip under the red line............................ long weatherstrip
