Mitsu Fluid Question

So i have my 60k mile matinence. Got everything done except for the transmission fluid (automatic) and the coolant fluid flushes. I know that for our cars the transmission fluid is really picky, alot of cars that just get whatever fluid they want and then end up burning through it all in a few miles and ruining their transmission. Our cars have Mitsubishi Diamond ATF SP III. Can i get whatever brand i want (like royal purple or mobil or something) as long as it is SP III, or does it have to be the Mitsubishi brand? Any help is appriciated

The kind our cars have STM: MITSUBISHI AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID | DIAMOND ATF SP III | ACH1ZC1X05

As long as it meets the same requirements you'll be fine.

Stick with oem. $7-8 per qt. Don't use dextron, trans tends to start shifting harsh after a few thousands mile.

Drain and fill? Usually4.5-5.5.
Car has to be running and Tran has to be in neutral to properly check the trans level.
