Why don't they make a firmware update for the Rockford Fosgate stock stereo system? I was thinking if they came out with a firmware update that would add CD Text, Song Name, Sat Radio Song Name support etc. This would make the sound system so much better. Its great having the mp3 cd support but not having cd text is so freaking outdated!

I personally don't think the stock system is anywhere near loud enough.

I whole heartedly agree. Mp3 tag display would make it amazing. The lack of it makes the display look older than it is. My friends focus has it... makes me angry. If someone would donate a working head unit I could see about pulling the eprom off the board and rewritting it... but I'm not going to try that with my own hu. It's the only one I have if it gets messed up.

i personnally think it's more than loud enough for what i need, and i know this 1 MP3 CD i have by heart, so i know exactly which song is which

The sound system in the car sounds great. But no cd text names for songs etc Sucks. Esp when there are crappy cars with it.

True, but think about it...if you don't have the RF system stock...you're in a much worse boat than those who do.

The whole thing could have been much worse also...have you heard the stock stereo in the 3G? Absolute garbage...

I owned a 2004 GTS Eclipse and the sound system in there was alright. I noticed a big difference in sound quality when I got my 4g with the Rockford Fosgate System. The sound quality was really clear and crisp.
