Just ordered my first performance mod!!! - Club4G Forum : Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G Forums - 2006-2012 Eclipse Authority

I've got a number of visual mods for my car, wasn't ever into high performance until recently. I finally got my financial situation back in check and have plenty of extra money, so while still waiting on headers I decided to get a DC sports CAI.

I'm hoping it ships quick and as soon as it does I will install and post vids of the sound (since I've seen a number of people ask for them). Great buy, got it from UltraRev.com at almost $50 cheaper then JMauto. I'm pumped to get my engine in check finally!

woohoo!! the injen cai was my first mod too! such a great improvement over stock!!
i find the car doesnt jerk forward when i let off the gas nearly as hard, better throttle response, and better mileage under general driving.
plus that sound.... the sound alone makes it worth it!!

post some pics when you get it and the install

i just ordered a bunch of stuff from autocity & RRE.
motor mounts, suspension bushings, tanabe upper and lower fron tbars, rear sway bar, ingalls stiffy.
my lady nearly killed me... hehehe

haha I'm sitting here like "Man, what am I gonna get next!" and just listing items in my head and trying to budget accordingly. Money is only thing keeping me from ordering every performance part on RRE and Autocityimports websiteshaha

haha yeah, i had to make an excel sheet and break it down on parts, where to order, what i want first, costs, and total cost of all parts. took me awhile but it gives me a good idea of my total cost for parts, and i broke it down to yearly so i limit myself. no need to spend 8k this year and only 2k next... hehehe

2-3k year for the next few years should keep me busy with research, ordering, installing, and tinkering

I have all my reciepts for any money I've ever spent on the car as far as parts down to oil changes. It makes me nearly cry when I look at it.

Here is the "Before CAI install @ WOT " video. I did tried my best for it being a busy interstate with not a lot of room to work with. Both attempts were in second gear. Sounds pretty good for the most part. Might do another video Later when there isn't traffic.
