evilboost turbo kit???
so i was looking around on the net, and i found a site that is currently under construction, i found that evilboost makes a turbo kit specifically for the GT Eclipse, so i was like right on, yeah! Dance Dance
, so i did some research and found a forum on the same company but not on the same site, that some guy had ordered the kit, (as you can, even though the site is under construction) but throughout the forum he was complaining that evilboost never called him if the kit was in production. so eventually he got his money back. so has anyone herd about this company? if they're legit...and speaking of turbos is there any plans for Tearstone to develope a turbo kit for the 4G, becuase im a big fan of Tearstones turbo kit for the 3G, i was gonna purchase it, untill i decided to buy my 4G of course...i just wanted to know, cause im looking foward to getting a turbo soon and wondering if it would be worth the wait..

There's actually quite a bit of work to be done in "putting together" a turbo kit. But this "work" is not just in the fabrication of components - anyone with a welder can whip piping together, and even the shabbiest-looking of monster piping can yield wonderful results - given that it's designed right.
What a lot of "shops" fail at is the delivery of the support aspect of the sale. Building a turbo kit takes a great deal of effort because you need to make sure your customers know you're behind their efforts. Most companies who've tried producing kits for the 3g, for instance, just fluttered with the wind and disappeared. Russ has had his own trials in this area, not because he didn't support the group, but because of outside dependencies in his support structure. I think it's a good thing that he's partnered with a good company this time to make sure that when a turbo kit gets ready to go out on sale, that it's truly backed up with mounds of solid research and support. |

little_eddie, dont get involved with Evilboost, someone did and had their car held hostage for months on end. To be honest noone even knows what the final outcome was because the owner simply gave up and demanded his car back. Despite all the talk from the owner of Evilboost we never saw pics/dynos...ANYTHING at all. IF you are willing/have the money to spend I think tearstone/RPW would be the way to go.

yeah, i found that out a little later on. i just got a little eager with power so i finally got the patiance to wait for a company that is dependable...plus i've started on my sound system to buy some time, im installing my JL 12"W7 and pioneer 7" touchscreen, its gonna take some time, the hatch is a little tough to shape since im building a custom box that is mostly fiber glass and 1inch of plexy glass to show off my two JL amps, im so glad JL is coming out with some new mids and highs next month! the only thing they need now is a head unit...i'll try and get some pics in soon..but thanks for the info and concern, i feel bad for the guy w/ the eclipse,

Come on now Russ...don't you remember the good old days when we all went through the frusteration of trying to get turbo kits for our 3gs through AAI and truboxs? Remember how horrible that was not to have a kit available to buy? And now, you have the power and ability to make a great kit available. Russ - if you don't want to make a 4G GT turbo kit for us, then at least make it for yourself...the old you.... ...and there's my only and last attempt into using guilt to get a kit made

It's crazy having a turbo kit available for the 4cyl and no one seems interested.
I have plans of making a GT Turbo kit regardless of how many other companies make one for the car I'm not writing anything in stone, I'm just saying I have plans an intentions if all goes well.
