TJ,

We are currently investigating engine management solutions to be able to safely run the car. Most of the hardware and plumbing is already install, we just need the software to be able to run it. I still am not sure if any of that stuff will make it to production. Currently, it is just a one-off project for Nukabe/Cusco. Keep an eye on our blogs for further updates.

Maybe i'm just bein a noob

BTW the article said this setup is good for 400HP at the crank but RIPP is getting 430 at the wheels which brings me to the question does water meth injection and the black box tune really make that much of a difference or am i missing something here too?

The cobb setup is good for 400 UNTUNED.If ripp gets 430 tuned then cobb will get much more then that or at the very least the same when its tuned. Also with the intercooler, oil cooler, intake set up etc the cobb set up is much better, will run cooler, and be capable of higher more efficient and reilabe horse power then the ripp setup.

i think s/c are not like I/H/E which you can leave UNTUNED as you say it is... bet the set up is 400 with tune or the blower itself is rated @ 400HP+ besides its to early to say and i would leave it at that for now... COBB will just do their thing and we'll see the numbers later.. peace...

Theres no way to prove that this would give better results than Ripp's kit. Its alot of things that NEED to be worked out with this car still. Like internals, though I've yet to hear about where are breaking points are, and injectors, and that damn speed limiter. I mean this car is fwd, I would like to go to a track for more than just 1/4mile runs. Right now even if your 4g has 300whp a good driver in a stock RX8 would prabably best you on a course.

dont think they are refering to better results. we are looking for more reliability from a more reputable company and has a better set up u can see in the pics.

You're probably stuck. Cobb is hesitant enough considering a kit for the GT and I think they're one of those operations that typically stick to the top trim/top engine of most models.

its worth a shot you never know, i asked them if they would even consider limited production for the few people that want them

It doesn't really come down to demand. They also have to supply support, re
