Cant Wait!!!

The title says it all. I cannot wait, my car goes in the shop tomorrow for install and tuning of a RIPP stage 2 supercharger. I do not know how long she will be gone away, but I wiill for sure try to get some numbers(dyno, videos) as soon as she is back

It will be installed at AFI performance in town. Considering southside mitsubishi was going to send it to AFI to tune it anway. I am sure they will have no problems bolting the rest on lol. I just hope it doesnt take too long.

Nice, how much did they quote you at for the install/tune?

I thought you didn't need a tune with blackbox/brat on a ripp product?

I was quoted $2500 cad with a tune, and a wideband a/f gauge and sensor install, and boost gauge install, and oil temp I believe, and a pillar install, plus front and rear motor mount install. Really not too bad of a price when all is said and done.

Most cars will not need a tune but when you have some custom parts etc installed it is nice to be able to tune it specific for your car. That is why I have the data cable(the softaware didnt get sent by mistake lol). The shop will now be able to dial it in a whole lot better possibly then what was just punched in to RIPP"S computers. I guess we will see soon

Sad...

I was almost like damn, thats like 1500 usd, great deal considering the cheapest shop around here wanted 700 for a FI/C install+tune..

Then I realized that your dollar is now worth more than ours lol.

But still, good deal for all that stuff.

That's just because the cost of making the parts from the US hasn't caught up to how fast it is falling.... once it does you will feel is just as we do...

I wish I had invested in CADs or Euros a few years back when I had a good amount of money saved (almost 7k when I bought half my car in November 07, and ~5k of that was saved when I was just 13 and the dollar was awesome), I would have been able to get a GT and never betrayed you 4gers

I'm still being a bitch about the job I'm getting because school is on overload for the last few weeks, so my money source is limited to what I've sold from my Eclipse.

So far I've gotten aluminum shifter bushings which hella own, new weighted shift knob, and cai. Getting a midpipe this/next week.

Ordering stuff like no other though, I'm getting a Jackson Racing SC kit race version with fully tunable ECU hopefully in August. 100/3500 saved woot! So right now I'm getting all the supporting mods and such.

Depends on what is available when I'm ready to purchase.

Supposedly JR is changing to a different blower, probably rotex style.

But I love the whine of their current roots type.
