$3,000 is a good price, but where are the pics of the installed kit?

By all accounts, this guy's been just as shifty as every other slimy aftermarket company that's tried to screw people out of money, i wont believe it until I see it.

i read the thread on the eclipse site... people on that board are just plain idiots... people are already ditching the superchargeer cuz this kit costs 3k.. no knowledge what so ever. The first post says he talked to the owner from evil boost. They dont have any numbers but it pust out what a turbo normally puts out, just with different piping.
There should be some sort of test before you can become a member. 1. What is your name? 2. Are turbo kits universal? If so... how much power do you get for a semi/medium turbo with alot of piping? |

I'll be straight up with you guys, I'm concerned about the price being so low I don't see how they cover the cost of the kit parts and fabrication.

Good to see some developments ?possibly? arising about a 4G turbo... As long as the aftermarket keeps growing, I'm glad. Let's just wait and see how this kit will perform.
As for me... hell, I can't afford it. Even if I could, there're certain mods I'd have to address first... *cough* LSD *cough.* Still the idea of a turbo'd 6G75.... mmm... |

I got to tend to agree with you on this one. I mean when I talked to my local shop who do fab work etc, they infact said they could build a custom turbo, but it wouldnt be that cheap not $3000. Also the shop I go to doesnt charge me alot and most items they said I could purchase for the cheapest I can get, but the fab is where it would get you. They said a rough estimate would go like this, the fab work for all piping etc they wanted $2000 just for that. Now any good turbo will go for somewhere btween $1000-$2000 and up(I am talking all canadian dollars here, sorry should have mentioned that) now just alone the turbo, and fab work for piping is already going to come to around the price they are selling for a complete kit. Now you would still need to buy intercoolers etc and have them done up right. So in short I guess I am sayin down here for a custom fabbed turbo for our car they were sayin it would bE $5000 with install(but installs arent the most expensive part). Of course a production kit could go for less than what I said but I would think knowing the cost of the turbo alone like turbonetics etc it wouldnt only be $3000 for everything. peace |

i think its a load of crap and I pity the first person that installs this, this guy has been shady since day one, never backs up his claims with dynos/pics etc....and the scary part is there are people ready to fork over 3k just based on this info.
I guess only time and blown motors will tell |

Shapdog, to let you know i am not an idiot lol, and i am also on this site too, so the comments on me being a member on either site has nothing to do with me starting this post on the evilboost turbo status.
i personally am supercharging my car with ripps SDS system and am not even thinking about putting a turbo on my car. I do understand that they have had crash's car for over a year and all and I talk to the owner of Evilboost, named Jhonathon, every now and then on yahoo messenger. If you would like to talk to him and ask him information on the kit, his screename is Boostinstyle. When i talk to him every so often i ask him whats up with the kit and how much whp is it getting. I had just spoken to him before i made the post and had told him that everyone wanted to know what was up with the kit and his company was getting a bad reputation. That is when he stated the kit was finished and was sold to turbo-performance.com and they will be the ones selling the kit, not evilboost. The pricing on the evilboost website is not correct and is an old listing, unless turbo-performance decides to keep the same price, which they most likely wont because they will be making the kit a little nicer to look at. If anyone has questions on this kits numbers just IM Jhonathon at Boostinstyle on yahoo messenger or email him at Boostinstyle@yahoo.com, or just PM crash and ask him Last edited by TankdawgGT : May 14th, 2007 at 03:48 PM. |

Good to hear all that Tank. I checked out turbo-performance's site...nothing seems to be posted about the 4G. The site loads buggy on my browser, too...the frames are screwed. Anyway, keep |
