Ripp Mods SDS Oil Setup - Question

How is the Oil setup for Ripp mods supercharger set up? I've heard people say that they didn't like the setup but then again I haven’t heard anyone complain about it either. So i wanted to know how its currently setup and where its feed and taped and see if theres another option for it?

Theres no particular reason for asking... i was just curious.

Someone tell me it was a dumb question or at least somthing.... LOL

The supercharger does have an inlet oil feed and a return line right? Where does the kit tell you to bring the line in from and back to? How hard is it too run? What does it look like? What are the down falls to the system and what can be done to improve on it?

I don't like it cause it goes off of the engine oil... this could cause a problem in some cases and there has already been a guy with a spun bearing... (I really believe it was this set up) He is the one that put his own system in so he could of just put it on wrong.

I like the Rotex system where it has it's own oil supply!

I don't see why you can't just make your own reservoir. Add a small electric pump or something to keep it circulating. The supercharger itself may even have enough rotational force to pump it's own small oil reserve. Sure would keep it cooler being separate from the engine.

Yea and you could add in an oil cooler for it and you would be all good!

The lubrication system is VERY simple.

Feed taken out of the pressure switch, to the blower and returns to the upper oil pan with a non weld "bolt in" bung. this piece is designed to sandwich the metal around it with a teflon washer to create a total seal. (very simple to install)
the more complex you get the more possibility for problems. Our way is simple, proven, and effective.
