building custom turbo kit for gt
I'm wanting to build a custom turbo kit for the gt since there isnt any kits available. This would be my first F/I car, all my others have been N/A. So part wise i am clueless on what i would need. I just know i need pipes, turbo, bov, wastegates, intercooler, manifold. But what else would i need? As for pipes how would i go on getting them and having them fit my car?

Your gonna need a whole lot of money (5-6k) and and a shop to do everything for you, and be ready to give up your car for a cpl months because it will take that long for a shop to build it.

everything he said...if you want to save money you can buy the main parts like you listed above and then have the shop do the rest....if you buy a bunch if things they might not ending up some of the that may not work...have the shop buy the plumbing and do all the welding for the intercooler and exhaust. Youll need larger injectors...instead of having a manifold built, just buy RRE or RIPP heads and have the altered...Also at the top of the tread theres turbocharged explained...its long but youll be way better off having knowledge then just trusting everything with the shop and possibly know whats happening when something goes wrong.
