So are there any nice GT Turbos? Need Help

Well you all may recognize me from the GS forums but here I am back at it again with the GT. Ive been searching for hours and seen a few kits but im not impressed at all. What we plan on doin is taking a set of OBX or RRE hears and routing them to the stock intake box location to place the turbo which is what everyone has done so far. There is way too much plumbing and lines to run to place the turbo anywhere behind the engine. Im keeping all my electronics, center pipe, muffler, intercooler, plumbing, and BOV. Im going to get the PnP harness from Brian so theres no cutting this time. Using all Stainless exhaust piping and still goin to run with an external wategate. I was thinking of Keeping the turbonetics wastegate or going with a tial. I was running a 38mm but thinking i should go to a 40 or 42 since its a low boost setup for now. After altering the headers, well have to fabricate. a now down and pump pipe followed by altering the old intercooler plumbing to reach the new turbo location. I think this time ill keep the stock fuel system with just upgrading the injectors because none of the turbo or supercharger kits that are out dont change anything else. while its in the shop i wouldn’t mind upping the internals but im all researched out from my GS setup. I put so much time and effort into that last car im just going to drop this one off and have it all be done by the shop. If anyone has an comments or suggestions please reply to this post. Its the whole reason for it. If there’s anyone out there that has done or people out there looking to do and have quite a bit of information, please help me out. Im talking to the shop this week to see what they say about the build and trying to sell all my GS turbo parts to get some money for the new build. ANY HELP IS EXTREMELY APPRICATED!!

I already have a kit for the gs. All that would need to be done is a slight header altercation and downpipe fab.

wouldn't it also be an ass to try and fit it on the GT because there is a lot less room. also, doesn't the GT run on a different ECU than the GS?

Has anyone used the FIC with the supercharger? RIPP uses two if thtur own little boxes and I think you may need to cut wires. If I could just use the fic it would be nice. I also want to go FMIC instead of the methonal system. I also dont trust extra injectors. I'm just debating in buying their tuners kit and using some of this stuff of just get the stage two kit eventhough I'm not going to use half the crap it comes with.

I'm starting now to like the RIPP setup and im starting to hear shit on the FIC from the turbo guys now....cars shutting down on down shifts, hickups at 5k PRMs...ones getting rid of the FIC and going Standalone...im just thinking the best thing to do is build another custom turbo kit...The RIPP SDS cant handle an intercooler so how can it surpass what its making now...so i feel that its a dead end...i refuse to use additional injectors...I guess ill get RRE or RIPPS headers and have a custom turbo y pipe made and downpipe.

let me clarify. the tuner package was made for people who would prefer to use an ecu system other than RIPPs brat box, like the AEM FIC

Yeah but if you think about it...the tuners package and the Stage 2 are only $1320 difference in price...once you get your injectors and F/IC with the harness your already at the same price. Might as well suck it up, use there electronics and its like you're getting the supplemental fuel system, methanol injection system, spark plugs, and underpully for free....that all adds up to to about $1300 for free...plus you know that it all works and run right with this car...no headaches like you're going to have with a custom kit. Ive been battling this with myself for months now...

It'd also leave you with a complete inability to tune the vehicle yourself. The blackbox is completely locked without Ripp's help.

You never want to use a supplimental injection system. Larger stock injectors is the way to go. Less to go wrong.

Those are my two arguments exactly...i knew from the start i didn't want the SFS and that i wanted to use the FIC. But still the difference in price it would still be worth getting to used the methanol injectors, spark plugs, injectors, and underdrive pulley...its all stuff you're going to want but cheap to buy in this kit then separate. Then just buy the FIC and harness for the 650 if you want...I'm sure the injectors aren't being fully utilized so just tune them up. im sure the size is fine.
