Found a shop wanting to make a kit but need tester...

I found a shop in Columbus OH that is will to make a GT turbo kit but needs a car to do it on. He said all the R&D and labor would be free as long as the person pays for parts...here are the emails...

From Me:
I see you guys do work on a lot of different cars and was wondering if your be able to build a turbo kit for the 4G Eclipse GT with the 6G75 Engine. I see you guys do stuff with the 3000GTs and they are very similar engines. I know the demand is high for the kit from being on the forums for the past 2 years its all people talk about. Or even just a turbo manifold like the one you have for the 3000GT VR6 but the turbo would have to to mounts up on the driver side instead of passenger. To build a header, y pipe, turbo, downpipe package I though would be very profitable for you guys. The only thing out for this car is a supercharger kit and most people want there turbo(but too cheap to put out the money to build their own a kit). Ive done a custom kit for the GS(I-4) and looking to do it again with my GT(V6). just curious if you guys would be interested in pleasing a pretty large number of people looking for a turbo start.

I am very interested in making a kit for the 4G Eclipse. Are you local? All I need is a chassis to fab up a prototype on and we can get the ball rolling right away. If you are local or know anyone that is that is willing/able to have the car down for a few weeks to get things fitted on we would comp all the time/labor as R&D and only charge you/them for our cost of the kit. Let me know,

I would, but I'm just a GS. I did ask them about doing my car though while I'm in Iraq in Jan. Thanks for the inadvertant heads up!

Ha thats funny cuz my turbo kit is getting installed in 2 weeks down in Columbus... I dont know anyone up here with a GT tho...

I'm from just a few hours north in Findlay. It'll be nice and easy to drop the car off during my next deployment.

yeah but you have a gs. I asked them to do the gt because they've made kits fir 3000gt vr6 which is going to be similar. The 3000 mount is in the passenger when ours will have to be on the driver side. If you go to their site you can see.

Yeah, I went to their site. Very nice work they have done. I also asked them if they can do the GS since I can drop my car off with no problems in Jan. Not trying to sneak in on the GT's, but if they have time to do mine, why not?

This but mounted on the driver side is what im talking about...thats nice shit...I dont like the whole everything v-band turbo but the headers and all the pipes are nice at hell

well the super kit i was looking at was sold and theres still another one i can get. Depending on if thats still available in a week or two and how much money I'm getting from the insurance well see what route i go. Im looking to get $7000 from insurance and if I get t hat ill get the IPS setup done and all the internals to make some real power. If i get the full amount and I'm selling my turbo kit late October ill be looking to make over 500HP with all new internals. If RIPP can make 430 with stock internals i can go well past 500.
