MarionCobretti has a spectacular aura about
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Don't do eeeeet!!!!

Seriously, I assume there are universal kits that you could make work, but it might be difficult since we have frameless door glass and the windows do that thing where the roll up/down a little bit when you close/open the door. But if there were a 4G specific kit, we'd have heard about it around here by now.

Also seriously, NOOOOOO!!! (NOTE: The following is just my opinion) You have a really nice looking GT in an awesome color. Please don't molest it with Lambo doors, which are (a) played out and (b) were always ricier than the Chinese Buffet.

This has been a public service announcement from the Committee for Unmolested, Nice GT's For Longevity and Preservation for Society (CUNGTFLAPS).

Also note in that picture it is a eclipse body with a lip around the window, that our cars dont have, which if you could get the window to fit right when closed without hitting the top, its been done before atleast Ive seen a couple on here but itl be a pain if the lift goes out on the door my door check is broke and its a pain when on hills lol

I won't tell you not to do it, I'm a ricer at heart too.

But it won't be the easiest task. I've had some people come to me after getting universal kits, and they complained that the hydraulics couldn't actually support our doors. Our doors are seriously heavy. Where most cars have vapor barrier, we have sheet metal. Good for safety, bad for fun.

In theory, our cars would be prime for vertical doors of any sort, seeing as our windows do drop down a bit when you open the doors. Sadly most vertical door kits open out, then go up. Kinda lame. So be sure of what you're getting before you jump on anything

I hear the more expensive lambo door kit off ACI works well, but no gull doors. I know everyone hates lambo doors, but I can't seem to bring myself to hate them and I have no idea why...

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

-scissor doors
-gull wing doors
-suicide doors

all are sexy as fuck!!! Our cars look killer stanced with scissor doors. I do not find it to be rice...but everyone has their own taste. Its all in moderation kids. I wanted to get the VDI brand scissor doors but if you read around on the forum *and I know from personal experience* our doors are simply too heavy. There are several threads of 4G guys stating that when you open the vertical door you must close it quick cause the arm that draw the door up can not support the weight and leaks air quick. Never the less, I do not know if you can replace the doors hydraulic lift cylinder with a superior arm that could hold more pounds for longer duration (buying aftermarket parts for a aftermarket part haha MODDING...fuck yeah). plus you might have to trim/roll front fenders to accommodate for the way the door will swing after install. Overall I wish I did the vertical door mod... not cause I cant afford a lambo, but because it compliments the look of our cars. I say spring for it, best of luck

Trick doors and most other cosmetic things goes against my build philosophy, but I can understand the appeal of such things. Just be prepared to live with the drawbacks as well.
