You will not find it cheaper anywhere else, i searched everywhere, most places wanted over $400. Sawtooth may even accept less than $250.
If not, he will counter offer. Its worth a shot.
Its an aftermarket co. so it came in their own shipping box, but its exactly the same as the 2011 gt spoiler.
Since I put it on its been raining every day. Im waiting for nice weather so I can clean it up and take pics(maybe tomorrow) It looks awesome. the car looks completely diff., I love it.
It fits perfect and the paint is flawless and a perfect match(I was worried because carbon is a new color but it looks great)
on my 2011 gs there are round indentations under the hatch that match up to the spoiler holes. I drilled holes in the center of the markings and it bolted on easily.
I dont know if the markings are on the older 4gs, youll have to look. there are 3 on each side under the hatch..
The view is fine. you can see the top of the spoiler but still a clear view above and below. I like to see it in the rear view, it reminds me how tough the car looks now. Ive been getting a lot more looks on the road now more than ever too.
cool man. +erep.
2 things - what instructions came w/ it? a template of some kind to help w/ the bolt holes / drilling?
and 2nd - LOWER that car before you feel the back of my hand.
j/k Bob but please lower it - if nothing else w/ a Pro-Kit for a 1.5" drop. if you can do it, get the d2 coils for like $875 shipped and you can feel like a formula 1 car and choose whatever ride height you want.
it comes with a paper template but I didnt need it. there are markings (little circles) under the hatch that line up with the spoiler holes made for it. drill in the center of the marks and install your screws(very simple)
Id like to lower it an inch or so but its not something I want to attempt on my own. I really cant spend anymore $$$ right now. My wife is still on my case about the wheels and the spoiler.
So wait do you have 2 third brake lights now or is the one in the spoiler non functioning . Cause the 11 eclipse that comes factory with the spoiler has the delete for the brake light in the lip.
Great job on this and thank you for posting the pictures showing how it is fastened to the rear hatch. I have a GS too and noticed the 3 spots on each side of the hatch and guessed that would be for the spoiler. The fit and finish on yours looks really good so I think I will make the plunge and order one too. Do you have any tips or hints on installation? Nice work and good luck with the car...
first drill with 1/8 bit to make it easier for the 5/16 bit after
after you are done with your holes from the bottom, drill thru the top to remove all burrs and metal shavings. Then you are ready to install the screws.
ive done this b4 on my rx8, so it only took me 15 min...
Just drill it bare metal but use the smaller bit 1st, to start, so its easier with the larger bit. drill the best you can in the center of the circle markings and the spoiler holes should line up perfect...
i would like to see the third brake light in the spoiler itself working.....
