Thanks! I actually broke the damn thing taking it off the first time to change the spark plugs, so I just cut it short with an angle grinder the get the broken piece off. When I mounted it back on, it actually looked pretty good, so I painted it! Funny how things work out like that.

The can is mounted to a small bracket that is attached to where the support arm for the CAI hooks on to.

So, I got to looking at the pictures on here that I posted, and it allowed me to step back and say "everything looks pretty good....except for that really ugly, flat black oil cap." So, I changed it.

No, they're just red cable bundle covers from autozone that are sitting on top of the stock black ones.

Is that your catch can sitting above your fuel rail and spark plugs? How did you mount it like that? Can you do a few close ups of the mount?

ok my turn. i finished the bay today. brake fluid cap and strut bar. all copper.

I wiped the engine bay somewhat clean this time...took a light grit sandpaper and sanded the 3.8L logo but it needs a higher grit i think to get it cleaner.

dougdude10 is on a distinguished road
i need a small favor. i need someone to take a clean high quality picture of the fuse box cover and measure the dimensions of a piece of it.

i'm looking for the part on the OEM fuse box cover that is raised and shows a finger pushing down and opening the box.
i need the approx size too (as close as possible)

i need it so i can make a custom vinyl. my fuse box cover was tossed out when i got a CF one.

Haha, lampshade? That sucks that it chipped your paint. I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard good things about Dr. Color Chip - some kind of paint chip removal system. Wouldn't hurt to try it and let us know how it worked.
