Just wanted to let you guys know that I am doing another run of rear seat deletes, you can sign up in the group buys section if you are interested! They are great for mounting a sick audio or nitrous setup as it is a flush flat carpeted surface that you can easily add onto. Keep it up some really cool ideas in here.....

Anything is better than the stock interior really. It's depressing to me looking at pics of my old interior, I guess mitsubishi was ready to slit their wrists when designing the interior of our cars it's all dark and gloomy ha

other than the two tone interior orange and black whatever it is

Does anybody have an interior dash kit, or used to have one, and knows how to take it off without leaving any unwanted residue or marks? ........and for you guys who have painted your interior, did you do any prepwork, like sanding or spraying some kind of primer or something? Or did you just paint the stuff with the actual paint color, and then paint clear over it?

To get the adhesive off from an actual kit just use goo gone or adhesive remover along with soap and water after. And as for the painting, the only sanding I did was for my glove box. The rest I put a coat of primer followed by several coats of yellow and lastly a coat or two of clear

Ight cool, thanks for the info Derek, and when you got the yellow paint, what brand did you use, and how did you get the color you wanted... You just got lucky and found the right color, or had it made? And what brand primer and clear did you use?

No problem man, and I used yellow paint for plastic. I got it at ace's for a couple bucks. And I just used like a dollar can of grey primer or black primer works also. The primer was just a generic brand I dont remember what the name was ha but the clear was gloss clear it was krylon. Like I said I used a coat of primer and like 2 or 3 coats of the yellow and like 2 coats of clear

Ight cool, I will keep this info in mind when I'm thinking of doing this, was it relatively easy to take everything out to paint it? And how long did you let it dry between each coat, and what was the hardest item to take out? Lots of questions, I know, I just wouldn't want to do this and it comes out looking like shit ya know..

It didn't take to long to paint or take out. I let each coat dry for 5 minutes then after the clear I let it sit all night to ensure it was dry and I wouldn't mess the paint up. The way I take the radio and junk out is pretty easy. You wanna start with the middle console, open it and pop the part holding the cupholder up and then the part where the ac controls are should pop out a little. Just look behind the ac control on each corner and there's 4 small screws on the back of the ac (2 on each side) that you have to unscrew to take it off. Then the top radio section you can just pop right out but be careful not to pull to hard bc the hazard lights button holds it connected, just disconnect it to pull the radio out.

As for the glove box I left it in and just taped up real good and painted it in the car

Also man to make it easier on yourself before you start paintin, the actual radio screws out of the head unit, theres like 6 screws maybe on the top part and then 4 more for the bottom, the hazard button pushes out the front and finally the vents pop right out. That'll save ya alot of tapeing and what not

Awesome, thanks man for aaallll the question answering lol, yes, I am familiar with taking out the radio harness and climate control cover due to installing an aftermarket radio, but as for the other things like gauge cluster and little clock on the dash not at all, so j was wondering if you actually took everything out, or taped some things up,but thanks for the clarification. Could you recommend a certain tape for masking things on the interior that is safe?

The gauge cluster has two screws they are in behind the little rubber flap behind your steering wheel. Take those out and the gauge cluster comes out and you have to disconnect the plug in it which you'll see ha. And as for the tape just painters tape is all I used and a lot of it. No problem man I don't mind helpin out a fellow member, just remember to rep me

So, for folks that have done the Pioneer head unit and screen, do you lose the steering wheel controls? Does it support smart XM displays, e.g. artist, etc. Just haven't delved into swapping out or replacing existing unit..

Has anyone in this club "dyed" anything in the interior of their car, mostly in refference to the long suade piece that runs along our dash board and the two oval pieces on our doors? I don't know exactly what material it is but has anyone dyed this instead of just painting on it?

I was going threw these pics, and some nice ass interiors, gave me some good ideas, but I have a question, has anyone tried using vinyl on the door strips or the dash??? Wondering if that would work, be pretty cool if I did, because that will be the route I'm going to go
