Blue Flower - My dad
Pink-ish-Red flower - Me.

Overall Meaning: My father grew up in Hawaii, and this place was very special to him. We spread his ashes on his favorite surfing beach on Oahu. This is what he wanted.

Hibiscus meaning:

Not only are hibiscus one of the most well-known flowers of the Hawaiian islands, they hold many deeper meanings. Hibiscus are known for the beauty and unique appearance. The flower itself symbolizes love and strength in the Hawaiian culture. I love my father very much, no matter what happens. Our love was, and still is strong.

Palm Tree meaning:

You may think its just a tree. No, to me... it has more meaning then that. Palm trees are tall and tower over the beaches in Hawaii. To me, it symbolizes me and my dad. For my life, it symbolizes the way I was able to rise (or tower) over all of this stress and remain strong. For my father’s life, the tree in my tattoo leans over the ocean and the flowers, as if my Dad was watching over me.

Ocean Meaning:

Oceans in general represent freedom. I had to let my dad go, there was no getting around it. No wave in the ocean goes on forever. The waves meet with the shore then start again. They represent a new beginning, washing away my past...but just as a wave brings in the seashells and leaves them behind in the sand... these waves bring memories of my father that will remain with me forever.

Sun Rise Meaning:

The sun is highlighted in white, which is a color that represents hope. Just as a sun rises and sets, it is always there just like my dad. During the night, the sun may be thousands of miles away and you can’t see it. But just like during the darkest times in my life... it seems like i’m all alone... but I know in my heart he’s still there.

Yep! (: There was also a spot over by Waikiki where he went and surfed before school cause his house was just up that hill.

oh my gosh! that's it!! awhhhh! I'm gonna keep this ! haha. The ones i took of the beach were at 3 in the morning (cause thats when he usually went out to surf before school, so thats when we spread the ashes) so you cant really see anything. thanks so much! <3

Got this one done a few years ago. It's a tribute to my grandfathers service in the British Royal Artillery. Mostly for his sacrifice during WWII. He made it through the war, but it was still a sacrifice. It's on my right shoulder blade.

The tattoo is for my mom. The rose, because that's her name. The ribbon because she had breast cancer. The thorns because she can be a bitchy sometimes lol (she said she likes that i have them). The muscles to make it look more badass and those are her initials. hoping not to have to add any more to hers.

I am in the process of getting a Black panther on my right side of my shoulder that will go from the back of my shoulder blade up over my shoulder/trap onto my pectoralis major (R/S).

if you're trying to symbolize strength id go with angel wings and integrate kanji in the middle of either wings. best advice is to take something that means something to you and integrate it with what ud like to have.
