I just got my ralliart eyelids..and my driver side lid doesnt look good..the backing of the lid doesnt really align with my headlight, so it buldges out and sticks out and makes my hood look low, but on the other end it fits pefectly and doesnt stick out...anyone else have this problem?

Here's a pic on how much it sits out..

I sanded mine, primed them&painted them by myself and it came out great..just the driver side fitment sucks so bad..and when i received them they had cracks on the inside of them.. disappointing

some people have problems with the eyelids not being perfectly flush with the hood. reason being is that ur headlights were designed to run flush with the hood. so when u go and place fiberglass eyelids on top of the headlights it is no longer flush

Yeah i know that but this is prolly half a inch off.. the other side rests perfectly with the hood

mine are like that too. its been in other posts. i just deal with it. its like buying a carbon fiber hood. it won't be perfect fit

Well i got them as a Christmas gift so i won't complain, but i wish they were perfect, i did wait almost a month..with all the moving delays they are having..but yeah thinner tape might help and adjusting the tape away from the body line

I had the same problem. Mine doesn't sound as bad as yours though. My problem is I paid to have them painted since I have black I wanted the gloss right. Well anyways the very tip hangs over the edge in front so when I shut my hood the tips get hit. I complained to aci but all they said is that they could only replace one at a discounted price...when you pay for painted ones they have to fit perfect because they are being shipped painted already. So now the paint has already chipped from opening and shutting the hood and I hope to god the tip doesn't break off...i know my hood is perfect because it's oem a 2010 and never taken off.

Its honestly a poorly made product lol, the material is not what i expected..but hey whatever works..i had to put 2 coats of primer, and 3 coats of paint&light can still shine through just a tiny bit. Im worried someone will walk by and just rip them off to be a dick. :/

yeah 130 bucks for CF or painted ones is alil much... Not much to them... luckily I got mine off of Xero (jason) the other day..

Which raises the question, how bad is the fit on the cf hoods available for our car? I think I'd be nothing short of livid if I paid for one and it didn't line up. Who is making these parts that they don't fit? Some dude in his backyard?

the hoods from wut i have seen in prson are actually good. slight issues but not at all a big deal

haha I have a fiberglass hood..I actually went out to my car a few hours ago and put one of my eyelids I still have on just to see what it would look like with the hood and the clear headlights. The fitment is a lot worse on the aftermarket hood but I think I'd get them again given the chance.

I meant fitment with the eyelids next to the hood haha not the hood itself

To be honest the eyelids closed the gap I had between the hood and headlights... But in the end it all depends on what you get

i haz this problem. the driver side eye lid sticks almost 1/4 inch above my hood, while my other fits perfectly. call alex at E4E he will replace them, i just never gave a damn

Put mine on last night.. just had to loosen bolts and move hood alil bit..also adjust your stop bumps..

Just for everyone's info...if your eyelid is sticking up a little above your hood, just open your hood and adjust the rubber bumpers a little higher that are to the inside and outside of the headlights. Simple fix.
