are you kidding? I don't even want to know what I've put into this car - and I'm not bragging in the slightest. I represent a perfect example of the WRONG way to do it. I was impatient and ignorant, could have gotten WAY better deals on all kinds of parts, traded for used, shopped around, waited for prices to come down, snatched up for sale parts on this forum, had to redo many upgrades due to incorrect process the first time, tows (at least half a dozen - most due to my own stupidity) - I could go on and on about how I've flushed money away on this project, but needless to say I could have saved myself a TON of money, and if someone were to do it the RIGHT way, then they could get to where I'm at spending 3/4 or even 1/2 of the money I have.

Example:
1000 clutch - $550 Install.
$1350 LSD - $500 Install.
NOW - could have done both at the same time and saved myself ~$500.

Example II:
$1350 for the LSD off of one site - could have paid $950 off of another, but was impatient, and it cost me $400. So that combined w/ the $500 mentioned above is nearly $1000 I could have saved right there. I 100% CANNOT afford to throw away $1000, and now it's all coming back to bite me, as I am forced to delay my final build while I get caught up on other expenses around my house.

this quote is all engine work. add in stereo, rims/tires, suspension, style mods and oh boy, it goes up in a hurry.

some of the stuff in the quote I have not bought or installed yet - but there's quite a few parts I didn't mention, also. No doubt I have spent/installed upwards of $20,000 on the car. At least $15,000. And again - not bragging - I do not recommend anyone to do that. Spend a few thousand at most, and see how you feel then. If you just LOVE the car, like I do, then go ahead and spend some more, but usually, a few thousand is going to be plenty, and you're going to go plenty fast. The 6-speed GT can beat a lot of cars stock. Full bolt on, say another 5 - 10% of what it's going to run into. And then add FI or nitrous and you can add on another 5 - 10% of what you're likely to run into. Do you really need to spend another $10K to get to beat another 5-10%? If the answer is yes, then go ahead - most of you, I hope, will not.



...of course...having the hum of that supercharger IS just incredible. but a full bolt on GT w/ headers sounds badass anyway.

Where'd you get the calipers from? Whats an RSD? And lastly what gauges do you have? I'm tryin to figure which ones I'll need. Going for N/A bolton w/ tune. Obviously a wideband but what else is necessary? Water temp seems redundant, if the factory one says hot, its probably hot.

I would get oil and fuel pressure. Or vacuum . Just preventative maintence and diagnosing gauges really. The rsd is a rear seat delete madee by rico. And I got the centric calipers from autopart warehouse I think... they are rebuilt oem by centric with their parts.
