Ride comfort is better than stock I think. It's more stiff, but unless you hit big bumps it feels more aggressive, and I have it on a middle of the road setting, I could soften it up and those big bumps would probably be un-noticable.

I have like a 35-40 mile drive to work, but I like to keep her a little stiff, cause you should be able to feel the road.

Updates on my car!

Saturday i'm getting together with some other local mitsu guys, we're doing like a pre-dyno get together to get our cars prepped for next weekend, so they are going to help me get my intake and exhaust put on, i'll probably align my headlights a little better too since i'll have the bumper off, but like anyone cares about that. =P

I'm going to take off my front license plate, ordered a some bumper plugs for the holes and they'll be here Friday.

Tearstone billet caps should be here by the weekend also, so once my intake is on and I have those in i'll probably clean up my engine bay and get some nice pics of that. Dyno not this weekend but NEXT weekend, i'll have I/E only for it, I guess my rims are lighter than stock so that might help a bit also, but only engine mods will be I/E, but i'm going to try and do a before/after with the RRE shorties.

I got some WAY better pics of that nonami on my computer at home (I have a ton of chick pics on my computer cause vista has that slideshow sidebar thing so I figured I should have it slide show cool shit like pics of eclipses and hot chicks)

Sooo... next up would probably be RRE headers... I still want to do that nav unit, but that shits gonna be expensive. Been playing with the idea of a spoiler, even though they are rice. RA kit for now is probably a no... would still like to find a cheap aero kit, but with winter closing in it might be best to wait for spring now on something like that. Speaking of spring i'll be probably buying some stickier tires in the spring also, but no reason to now so close to winter.

As far as my list of 'To Do' and 'Done' currently i'd say i'm like 3/4 of the way there on all of the for sure things.

edit: holy shit that turned into a straight up journal entry, I applaud anyone who read all that, hahaha

UPDATED ORIGINAL POST WITH NEW ENGINE BAY PICS!!

I got the Injen intake in, decided to go short ram, the guys I was with this weekend said it's pretty much stupid to go CAI with where the filter would be, hitting any decent size puddle would cause problems, and coupled with the problems i've read here on the forums I don't want to take any unnecessary risks. THE CAR IS A FUCKING ANIMAL now, I LOVE it.

I didn't get to do my exhaust because none of us felt like cutting up my stock piping. So i'm going to take it to a guy I met this weekend's shop and he's going to make me a little test pipe and it'll be a full header-back exhaust.

And then as i've mentioned i'm looking into getting the RRE headers also, so i'll have a full exhaust replacement when I get those on as well.

cool glad you love it now, but as far as the cai goes your friends are dumb. Sorry to say but you would need to hit way more then just a decent sized puddle to cause any problem. More like submerge the filter like a submarine and rev the piss out of the car. Eh to each their own though, all I know is I like the air coming off the raod a lot better then I would my hot engine, but what do I know

peace

Is the weather guard and the under body piece enough to keep it dry right there? I'd much rather have my filter never see water considering the risk of a hydrolock.

Maybe i'll give it a run, going from the short ram to the cold air should only be a matter of taking the bumper off, after that it'd jut be 10 min of work.

dry isnt the problem. My point was you actually really need a lot of water sucked into the cai to cause a problem. if the filter gets a little wet or heaven forbib to run through a puddle that gets it all wet, you should be fine.

the problem really comes in if you are driving through a ton of water and have the filter submerged. if it is submerged in water and you are driving, you a sucking water right ip into the engine. this will of course cause an issue. puddles heavy rain etc should not

Decided i'm gonna stay short ram for now.

I picked up the RRE shorties from Goldbomb, i'll be doing those with my magnaflow sometime this week I hope.

Dyno day on Saturday, i'll post that up also. Hopefully the exhaust project is done so my numbers aren't so stock.
