Nice car... the rims look great on it and the interior lighting looks good! You should get some projector headlights and the eyelids for them, that would be an awesome touch for the exterior

Yeah I think I probably will. I should maybe put a "next up" list, cause there are easily 6 things I want to do before winter. Once winter comes i'll do engine stuff.

That blue is still my favorite color on the 4g. Love it. Great lookin' ride, bro.

On the 23/27 I have it at, it's much stiffer than stock, but I think it's perfect. It's a good street setting. The only bumps where you are like "OH SHIT" are the ones that would easily fuck up anyones 22" with rubberband tires.

So far i've never bottomed out, and I park in a parking ramp at work, and have a decently steep driveway.

As far as it being stiff though, thats how a car should be, and I think it's perfect.

@ Hac, thanks, and also, do you like the Injen Exhaust? It seems like the only people that naysay on it are the ones who don't have it, and I kind of want to go with Injen for my CAI and Exhaust. If a nice turbo kit comes out in the future, I would probably jump on it, so there would be a minimal amount of justification for the 3", but whats your personal opinion on it?

Ok, i'm looking for some opinions.

How do you think these would look on my car? I would probably do the Projector Style eye lid with the headlights.

My car kind of has the black/blue thing going, so i'm not sure if this would compliment that or is it might be too much.

If ANYONE has these on their car please post some pics. I have seen them on some cars but I want like nice close-up pics if possible or some pics at least focused on the lights.

ALSO, I asked in another thread but nobody has answered me yet, is doing an HID kit with these harder than doing it with stock?

i have the headlights and eyelids and looove them.. they'd look awesome on your blue black thing goin on.. but the tail lights, i don't really dig. but thats just me.

If I do the black color scheme though I wouldn't really want to just do headlights and not the tails, that would look off. I am worried about the pseudo spoiler looking funny though. Thats about the only hesitation I have.

I would definately do the headlights if I were you, theyd look real nice. As far as the taillights go, maybe if you got them tinted? Or if you just kept the ones you have and tinted those. Either way, I would tint my tail lights. If you get eyelids, you wont really have to do anything to the headlights, it would still look good. As far as the spoiler goes, Idk what one youre talking about to comment on that

The stock spoiler is chromed out. I'm just thinking the black out tail lights right next to the chromed spoiler might look off.

Hmmm, you have a point there with the chrome stock "spoiler" thing, and your car has the black/blue theme? Whats the main color- black?? What kind of wheels do you have? And what color is your gascap?? I know, its like 21 questions... What if you could tint the spoiler thing?? That would be HOTT. Do you have any pics posted on here of your car? Seeing it would be a much better visual, for others to give you an opinion

EDIT: Im an asshole-- I didnt scroll up and see the pics of your ride lmfao. Heres my opinion, search "rear tail light painting" theres a thread by BartMan, and he explains how to paint the tail lights with VHT NightShades and he also paints the rear chrome thing (and explains how to do that as well)-- if you paint the chrome peice black, tint the stock tail lights, or those new ones, then your problem would be solved, and the rear of your car will be just as hott as the rest of it! The VHT NightShades is a SPRAY ON TINT!!

I love the projectors, the taillights, not so much, but they match. You could always get the black projectors and try to crack your taillights and paint them. Or just tint them like jb4g did. As for the spoiler, there are 2 options: tint it like the taillights, or get a spoiler delete cover.

By the way, your first picture on this thread, those wheels look sick on your ride.

Thanks man. I'm glad people seem to like the rims. I am very satisfied with them, and I got a ridiculously good deal on them, so thats even better.

Skittle your advice is awesome. I actually talked to the guys at ACI that sell the projectors and tail lights and he recommended exactly what you said also.

So i'm thinking what i'm going to do is get the spoiler blacked out and black out my stock tail lights, and then buy the black projectors and blue eyelid. I might also get my gas cap done up black also, i'll have to do some research.

I guess I didn't pay much attention to the tail lights but gawd that one bulb is fugly.

Yup - jb4g has tinted/blacked out taillights and spoiler. Like I said, the other option is a spoiler cover in UV blue. There are pictures of them around somewhere. They look great too, much better than the chrome.

I'm probably gonna just go with the black tails. If I don't like how they look sitting next to the spoiler the guy at ACI said I can return them as long as they weren't installed or scratched. Gotta still be pristine new condition.

Hmm, i'm not really sure I like the spoiler cover.

I am going to order the heads and tails tomorrow though I think. I'm not BIG on the tails, but I think I could get used to it, and I think the look of the black will make it look better overall. But maybe i'll think otherwise when I get them, we'll see.

I actually dont think the spoiler covers look that bad, its something youd have to get use to. It looks great on those cars pictured above, but I know that on my car, because of the color, that it wouldnt look right. Especially because my tail lights arent tinted out, they still have the chrome look

They really were by far the best purchase i've made so far. I got an amazing deal on them so I really lucked out.

Yeah J, I think I kind of agree with Skittle on this (again, go figure, the girl has good taste ). It looks good on the black, especially with the blacked out lights, so it would for sure look awesome on your spyder.

I guess I would have to see it on my car or see some really good pictures of it on my color before I would be sold on it, i'm picky as hell.

I wish I could take apart the spoiler and replace the chrome piece with a black piece of plastic that looks like the ACI lights. The clear over black look is imo.

Injen intake should be coming this week! Possibly progress rear sway bar also. So tails/heads/eyelids, intake, and sway bar by the end of the weekend I hope. I'm also getting that little rear 3rd light ECLIPSE vinyl.

Just a small update: headlights, tails, and eyes are on the way and should be installed by Friday night or Saturday afternoon.

Still waiting on Need4Speed to see whats up with his intake and sway bar.

I'm tempted to get a black one for my ride (liquid silver) once I get the black taillights again, but I'm skeptical about how it'll look as opposed to liquid silver.

Decided against getting the used intake. Eyelids, headlights and tail lights are all delayed. Hoping they are ready by today.

After all that is on, next will be either Intake (I really need to just get the damn thing), in-dash nav system + XM radio/XM traffic, or Aero Kit.

I want to get an exhaust also sometime before winter, but if I do get the nav system it'd tap me out for a while. I'm not even sure what exhaust to go with... seems like the Injen is too much for N/A, but I want to have that hi-flow cat. I might talk to a local shop and see if I can get a custom thing. They work on EVOs a lot and when I talked to them at the cookout I went to, they said they would probably do stuff for the 4g, but nobody had approached them with it yet.

Well I have my tails on, and I am really satisfied with them. I know that one bulb is a little stupid looking, but I think they add a whole lot of badass to the back end of my car. I also think it looks fine next to the chrome spoiler. I am going to explore some options on blacking that out still, though.

I didn't take any pictures last night cause Halo 3 was my priority as soon as it hit midnight, which is also why my headlights and eyelids aren't done yet. Someone said you don't need to take the front bumper off to get the headlights out and I spent way too much time fucking around trying to get them out without at least loosening the bumper. It's blatantly obvious the screw closest to the bumper is covered up by the bumper, but I kept trying to find ways to get to it and I was just brain dead tired I guess.

Anyway i'll try and continue with it tonight if i'm not too tired, I got like 2-3 hours of sleep (and i'm usually a really consistant 7-8 hour person), so I feel like shit right now and probably will all day.

Anyway I think this is going to make my car look fucking awesome, and each mod I seem to add just keeps getting me closer and closer to that finished feeling. (show/looks-wise, my engine horse-power addiction has yet to begin).

Finally done with the headlights, I was too tired last night to take any pics, I didn't even adjust the alignment or anything I was so tired. Was kinda pissed cause I wanted to play some halo 3 last night but ended up not finishing till 11.

I'll probably just update my original post with the new pics later tonight (the pics I have yet to take). Possibly might not take them till saturday, I want to get some night shots though, so I can do that for sure tonight.

Going to do a fall cruise next weekend, so I should be able to get some cool shots then. And i'm also going to a dyno day on the 20th, I might pull I might not, depends on if I get I/E installed or not probably.

Yeah, I was really dead set on the black, I had never seen the blue in person, only on the mitsubishi website. I went in to test drive a sunset GT with 10k miles on it, had the aero kit and sport pkg and was like 21.5k after I talked him down from 23k. So i'm talkin to the salesmen about it and I see this blue one further down the lot and i'm like hey wtf is that over there? They just got it in and it hadn't been put online yet, and as soon as I saw it my jaw dropped.

Only reason I hesitated was is wasn't a stick, but after thinking about it I realized I might really miss the convenience of an automatic, and the car is after all going to be my daily driver, no matter how much I mod it. You can of course have a stick as a daily driver, but I guess I felt since i'd never owned one before that I would prefer it.

Also, i've mentioned it on another forum or 2, but i'm not sure if I have here.

I'm considering the Ralliart kit right now. I think a small amount of CF with my blue color would be really hot. I'm going to focus on getting my Intake and Exhaust done for right now, but once thats said and done and I get a couple paychecks in the bank i'm going to think about doing the RA kit with the RA CF wing and mixed CF front piece. I'm not sure about the spoiler really, but it's kind of part of the whole RA look.
