Joe's Supercharged 08 GT

Joe's 350 WHP Supercharged 2008 GT:

------STREET ROCKET-----------

better be packing upwards of 400+ at the wheels and have your a-game on command if you want the win against me....

this shit is raked out, even after bringing the front end up at least an inch.

here are a few videos:
back out from garage to pull away down the street. good for hearing the motor at idle, low power, and then taking off w/ a little throttle....

here is rev or two after a warm up drive. can't go into boost w/out 'load' on the engine....at least I can't.

night time back-out and pull away - a little more power then in the first video, but no more then 1/3 throttle. listen for the cut-off when I let off the gas and you can just hear the air "umph" through engine as it get's it's last big breath. i always loved that. inside you can just feel the power and then the 'let out' as you come off the gas. it's pretty sick.

the redline hood props are another one of my favorite mods - thanks to Dax for the suggestion. they make a big difference, to me that OEM stand is just so ugly now.

M-1 abrams shift know w/ short shifter & aluminum shifter base bushings. maybe my favorite mod of them all.

the flux capacitor - 4000 watts, 2 X 12" Diamond D6 Subs, hits pretty goddamn hard:

great - so you are telling me I don't have it in there right? that is the only vaccum source w/ enough pressure to open that BOV....the little nipple at the top right of the manifold was only good for the gauges....................should I be using that one? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

isn't the PCV valve right there to prevent oil (or air) from coming up and out from the valve cover?

is this better?
[IMG][/IMG]
still not understanding but I am taking your word for it. the vacuum is off of the intake manifold and the PCV valve is on the other side - preventing anything coming from the valve cover right? hmmmm. I thought I was so clever at the time.....figures.

still not understanding but I am taking your word for it. the vacuum is off of the intake manifold and the PCV valve is on the other side - preventing anything coming from the valve cover right? hmmmm. I thought I was so clever at the time.....figures.

where da hell are all these supercharged eclipses coming from?

this is how mine is hooked. I can hear your belt squeaking on the vid

Yeah that's where ripp and I have mine and worked fine. That's what I thought about the valve but there's where others have there oil catch. The air flow there from stock goes:

the tube off the intake to the rear valve cover, rear to front, front to the intake man. Which is all working off vacum from the motor. Normail the oily air is going into the engine. That's the point of it. In a boost application airs still going the same route buy instead of being sucked it's being forced. So more air and oil which is the reason for a oil catch can.

Did the bov work there? It should have but not are responsive...that valve won't let forced air go the other way so the only thing keeping your biv closed was the spring. Depending on how hard it's set the bov could be opening under hard boost. That why the nipples better. It has boost pushing on it as well as the spring.

oh man there are plenty of guys on here I am jealous of, so I know the feeling - but the SC is w/in reach the average tuner, I think, especially with the help of the forum...I will post some more vids as soon as I can get someone to hold the camera. though I just found an oil leek that needs work, ugh - hope to have addressed by tonight..bah

yeah I am not TOO worried about it - hopefully the mount/bushing kit I just bought and the ingalls stiffy will help but I don't think it's hitting TOO hard. shit right now I've got other problems to sort out - starting with the rear header hitting the heat sheild from time to time, and the oil leak I just found.

oh no - there is some, mostly when it's cold. but all day yesterday while the sun was up it sounded fine. and I don't care THAT much either way - I almost like that the crank is making so much power that belt can't handle it....well almost. it was so sweet yesterday when it was working properly....oh the memories....
