Ok so I have been avoiding this because my engine bay is a hot mess:noplease:, and the car is nowhere close to being finished. Plus I still consider myself pretty new here, but it's time I make a thread about my ride so I can update it along the way.:runaway:

A short history about my vehicle, it is a 2006 Eclipse GS with the sound package. I purchased it around June 2010 used with 58,000 miles on it. Before me the car had two previous owners but they seemed to take good care of it. When I picked up the car it already had the windows tinted and a riced out muffler on it. Nothing else about the car had been modified. I really didnt change a single thing on this car till the end of Feb. 2011 that is when the fun started.

Here is a list of mods and what I can think of so far that has to do with this car. I will slowly update this list as I begin to add more and creep towards a more finished product. A few side notes I would like to share is I dont have a muffler rite now, just the downpipe all the way to the rear wheels, I just need 2-3 feet of exhaust piping and a I can begin the welding process for the finished exhaust. Also all of this work was done 100% by me and my room mate. Car has never been to a shop under my ownership for anything.

Here is a link to my Build Thread to go into more specific Install talk/pictures http://club4g.org/board/gs/20871-project-turbo-gs-lots-pictures.html

oh man I love it. you hit the sleep button on this one - please get some videos of you closing some people out on the street or at the track - and if you can, get the look on their face as you pull on them........:crunk:

that engine bay is like

Thanks Joey, always nice to here a compliment especially from someone with a car like yours. I dig everything you keep putting into that thing! I'm going easy on it till I get some minor tuning issues fixed. I'm still trying to hunt down a good A/F ratio rite now its ...yeah not perfect. In a month or two it will hopefully be track worthy, i'll def have some vids when I get to that point.

Yes I am not interested in any external visual body mods at this time. Maybe just some headlights and small paint touch ups.

i dont know how far you wish to go
but if i owned your car this is the max exterior mods i go, well maybe some eyelids. ultimate sleeper. good job, you are a figure in our GS community.
Yeah I plan to keep it a sleeper all the way through, clean and simple. Next year I have really big plans for more internal work... but for now what you see is what you get.

good stuff man. i love it.
with a badass wire tuck, that engine bay would look siiick
Yes a wire tuck, I am in desperate need of. Soon enough it will come, My room mate is going to make up a custom engine cover for the IM shortly too so it will be really unique.

Thanks for the compliments!

Ok so I have loaded a few maps, used trial and error and a few tweaks and this is what I have come up with so far. It's NOT perfect but it is a base map that keeps improving. I kinda stole mecks old map and changed the injector size from 440cc to 305cc (which is our stock injector size and what im using at the moment) It working a lot better mid and low end. I'm only running 4-5 lbs of boost on this file but if anyone has any suggestions about it feel free. Again this is all new to me so if I screwed up big somewhere and you want to flame, please do. The wideband isnt hooked up atm but this weekend I should have it plugged in again for another reading for my A/F

EDIT: crap that was a fail... I couldnt upload the file so I tried this, whatever

Why is your load side all the way up to 40 PSIa ?
atmospheric is around 15 +/- plus you boosting around 8 psi right?
so your scale should be set around 0 to 25(+/-) PSIa?
Or am I wrong?

I thought about that, but I enjoy all the extra attention I get when people see the front mount, it really is an eye catcher :D
Dude screw your friend! You sould come with us on sunday!!! Me and you could put a few runs in... put this 4cyl turbo vs bolt on GT thing. lol
maaaaan you have no idea how much I want too but because of the situation that came up I told you about it's a no go, my trip money has already gone to pay some bills, they never stop coming. I wiish I could run a bolt on GT rite now or even a stock one I just wanna see where I stand. If you want my opinions though I think a heavily bolted GT would have me at the moment. But a Stock.... Im pretty sure I could have it just because I hit max power before them. I am def! Going to the Nashville one, it's only a 45 minute drive and by then my car should be sick.
:ditto: Wire tuck and some paint...Sick ass engine bay!
Nice ride man keep it up!
Thanks! But we have had non stop storm week after storm week, as soon as some consistent weather holds up that engine bay it getting a nice scrub down and tuck. I mite even throw some paint in it who knows, well see. Gotta get it ready for driving season.

Hell yeah it did, that's the power of the F/iC!... I can't wait till I get my A/F ratio running perfect either. It keeps running better every week I work on it, besides rough starts in the morning it runs without much misfire if any at all. Next on my list is taking out as many of those pesky codes as I can one at a time.

Thanks freeker for the compliments as well, it's coming along great I'm pretty stoked to see how much power I can pull out of this and hopefully hit the dyno up soon and show you all some real numbers. I'm curious as well to see exactly what I'm getting to the wheels.

just remember... no matter the dyno... no matter the mad numbers... all that matters is low times in the quarter... there are some members that had their car dynoed but didn't post up numbers because they weren't happy with it... BUT still ran high-mid-low 13's... maybe even high 12's too...

We have an 8th mile track here and on friday it's only 10$ run all night against whoever lines up with you I've been before it hella fun, but I've never gone in my car yet. I would like to have a stiffy and a GT TB before I go plus it just opened up and the weather has been poop lol for the 3 weeks it has been open. Even if I have piss pore numbers on a dyno or the track I will post them, I have no shame and it will only improve from what I first see anyway. That's how I look at it but I can't wait wither way.

yeah Trev I may need your help tweaking my maps...I am going to try to go to the tuning shop again before too long, but I need $$$ and keep buying parts instead of a trip to the tuning shop.....

I'm not the super tuner my room mate is (even though im learning every day), but I will help you as much as I can. if you have any questions PM me and I will ask him for his much desired expertise. he has helped tune many F/I cars, but the F/iC is new to both of us unlike other piggyback systems that are more desireable on less complicated vehichles *sigh*
