With the luxury of having the weight savings of a CF trunk you also have some disadvantages. Not everything is going to go back onto the CF trunk theway it should; some/most/all of the panels on the interior side will not fit back on, unless custom fabbed to fit.
But it still looks fucking badass from the outside! ![]() |

Here they are! and guess what! the plastic panels on the bottom part fell when I pop'd the trunk just awhile ago. I taped them cuz I'm lazy to fix it right now lol.
![]() ![]() ![]() In case somebody is confused, basically there are 4 pieces of the plastic panels. Two on both sides and one on top and bottom. The guy who did my trunk actually glued the top and side 2 pieces on to the holes he drilled but I had no idea why he didnt do the same for the big bottom piece. There's fitment issue with the plastic panels itself. They don't go smooth as u can see the gap on the 3rd picture. There's also 1 more problem which is the wiring for the wiper motor. Because the original trunk is metal, some of the wires were actually held with some magnets thing. So you will need to extend the wire. Other than these issues, anything else fits perfectly even the window. Hope any of these helps. ![]() |

nothing wrong with Mitsubishi Eclipse Forum, it's just low population and a little confusing in design.

.com isn't as atcive and/or doesn't have as much feedback and no offense a lot of them are newbs (I know we all have to start somewhere). But the thing that gets me is they don't know how to use the search button
and every other post is something that has been discussed. I'm not saying all of the people are like that just some. Now back on topic.... After some paint it's going to look killer, but its already sexy as is ![]() |

yeh i did a photoshop on the roof and the a-pillar area it looks killer so I'll be doing that soon with a shop. In fact today I had a day off and decided to take off the front and rear bumper to paint some area black. Here are the results:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not so great at painting but at least it only costed me 30 bucks and gets the job done ![]() Here's the poor photoshop if anyone's interested: ![]() Last edited by xpandabl3 : June 8th, 2008 at 05:00 AM. |
