Hey, what did you use to tint your fogs? Is that lens tint or yellow bulbs/hids or both?

What did you use to "cut and buff" it? I recommend you look into applying a coating like Opti Coat 2.0 or 22ple Pro VX1 Glass coating when you have a achieved the look that you want. Simple wax or sealant doesnt work well on carbon fiber hoods. It will last for a bit but the fading will come back. With the coating, your good for a year or two, and you can apply it to the car as well. Do you by any chance a have a DA polisher?

I recommend you join autogeekonline.net it will really help you out.

Me personally i think rubbing compound is waayyy to rough, you'll never get it to finish down perfectly. What kind of DA do you have? Porter Cable? You shouldnt have to sand it and re clear it, proper compounding/polishing skills will get you where you need to be. Opti coat and all that jazz i recommend you read about in autogeekonline.net since you need to get the surface as perfect as possible before application. It is a "permanent" coating that has lasted almost 5 years for some people.

Yea dude trust me you'll get tons of help. Make an introduction thread stating your issues/questions and you'll get tons of help. Plus the site sells a ton of products too so you'll be set. I must warn you though, if you spend too much time on that site you'll catch the "detailing bug" and end up spending wayyy to much money on this stuff xD ive spend close to 3gs on tools and supplies over a period of a year....its so sad lol but i love doing it!

Glad you got the results you were looking for for even better results you should try something a bit more aggressive! xmt360 is a good product but its more of a all in one type thing. You can get Meguires Ultimate Compount at a local autozone, it should make that carbon fiber look AMAZING

Use an orange pad with ultimate compound. I recommend you get a white pad as well, you could use that with a finer polish to fix any hazing from using a orange pad.
