Liquid Silver
AEM Cold Air Intake
Nokya Arctic White Halogen 7000k 100/80w H13 Headlight Bulbs

Looking to do more things with it. Some things I have on my mind are:
Exhaust with 2.5'' piping from the header back to a good muffler and tip.
Ralli Art Style paint on the Front Bumper
Different set of Wheels with same dimensions: Konig Kilogram, Enkei Ekm3, XXR 530's.
Lowering on Tein Springs. S techs probably.
Welcome! Another liquid silver to add to the crew. Sweet thing your ride comes with the aero kit already! Good luck on building her up, can't wait to see what you do to her.

Thanks, when I got it back in August I had no idea that the kit was that rare, and expensive. It was installed when the first owner bought it new.
Saves me a lot of money
I'm starting to get low on tread on the tires, so hopefully new rims will happen first.

Thanks tcscoccer.

As far as wheels go I want stock dimensions. So the 18X8 114.3 and offset that doesn't go out the wheel wells. So something within realm of the stock ET+46 offset. Also need hubrings if the bore on the wheel is not 68.1mm.

So which leads me to some wheels like these that I can afford:
I also work at Discount Tire, so I might get an employee discount from their products.

Oh you do? I used to work there, I was a tire tech for about 5 months until I put my two weeks in to go back to school since it was my second job. It's fun as hell once you know what you're doing. Im sure you'll get a discount on the tires, atleast save you the taxes that were on them as well as free mounting and balancing if you do it yourself.
Im surprised you're not into the whole stretch tire, hella flush look. I thought the same way when I bought my first wheels, I had a square set up of 18x8.5 et35.. but once I went to more car meets and even on here we have same crazy poke, i started to like the look. I went from an 8.5 to a 10 inch et25
Maybe you'll like it once you see it or maybe not who knows, for some people it's not there cup of tea. Haha.
Either way man, least you'll be off those stock wheels.

That's cool you worked there. Did you put wheels on your car there?

Oh I love stanced cars. It's just my parents wouldn't allow me to buy myself tires that will wear faster. Haha. Going to college and 19. So I'm still under my parents.

As long as the sidewalls are not fat looking I'm satisfied.

I used to have a 1994 BMW 325i with coilovers. Was really fun. Wanted to get into stance with better wheels, but needed a reliable car for college. Hence my Eclipse I got with 37,600 miles.

Here's also a pic of the Bimmer.

Nice bimmer is looking sweet. Should of kept both man. Im actually looking at a 2001 325i sport edition myself. A friend of mine owns a shop and said he'd sell it for 4000. But, I'm also in college, 20, under my parents roof, I don't think they would like me getting another car and another thing to have my money go into. Lol

Yeah, I feel ya. I seems like we share the same life story haha.
I wish I could have kept the E36. Will get another in the future.

My dad and I sold mine for $4000 too. Priced at $4800. Let it go to a guy who has had a 97' M3 and a 98' 328i. So I figured he would take care of it.

Got the Eclipse for $11,600, $3,000 was my money, $3,000 from another part of family (private so will not be disclosed), $4000 from the BMW, and the rest $1600 my parents paid.

Not bad, I originally put down 5k for my first eclipse and owed 10k still.. got it gown to about 5k but then had the car totaled, got 11k from insurance paid off the old eclipse and then bought another for 8k. Same year, same color, less miles and standard. Lol 11600 is a pretty good price for that many miles.. I paid 12000 for the first eclipse and it had 63000 miles on it already. Second one had 82000, you got a steal on that one.. or atleast a better deal haha.

Sorry about your loss on your first car. I like the way yours looks.

Here's a pic of the headlight bulbs, they look bluer than in the picture.

Also I repaired my fuel door. It was oxidized and sun damaged. So I spruced it up again.

So I'm certain that am going with these wheels. Would have to order and deliver to my work since they don't have these in the backroom.
Tires will hopefully be: Nitto Motivo 225/40/19.

Wow your right next door to Plano. I go up there 3 days of the week to Collin College on MWF. Mornings from 9-12. Then the Frisco campus from 8-11.

We should hang sometime. What Color/Mods does your car have so I can keep an eye out for it?

You go to Collin College by any chance?

So the rims got a little delayed. They only have 3 in stock, so I will have to order one from another source. I canceled the order since there was only 3.

I will reorder if the other 3 are still available tomorrow morning since I was able to find another one on the internet.

Konig said they have sold a set of 4 to someone in England. Evidently they had ordered right before me, but that's hardly believable since Discount Tire is like their biggest buyer. My manager had ordered them this morning and everything was good, but he got a call in the afternoon with the bad news.

Welcome to the club! The club of being 19 and broke lol, I'm right there with you. Although instead of the school right I opted to jump straight into the automotive industry fresh out of high school. One thing I learned being a broke high school modder was don't let money stop you! There's plenty of ways to ball on a budget and you're off to a good start. Keep the pics coming

Well I couldn't get the 40 offset wheels, so I will try the 30 offset after doing
the math on what the difference is between stock and the new wheels. They were ordered at work today and hopefully will get them before Friday.

Stock wheel is 18x8, +46 offset. Tire Size: 235/45/18
New Wheel is 19x8.5, +30 offset. Tire Size: 225/40/19

The distance from the mounting surface to the outside lip on the stock wheel is 2.19 inches.
On the new wheel is 3.07 inches.
The difference is about .88 inches or 22.35 millimeters.
So in theory it is like adding 22.35mm wheel spacers to my stock wheels.
I saw that Homeslice has 25mm on his stock wheels and a 1.5 in drop and no rubbing issues.

Kazman also answered my question about the fitment saying it would work fine.

Thanks Kazman.

Thanks, I hope to accomplish a few things with this. Mainly some appearance things so that I can take it to Cars and Coffee shows at the local BMW dealer the first Saturday each month.

I know, it's on stock height, I intend to lower at some point. Still deciding between springs or coils.

Coils! You're bound to want to go lower. I didn't know much and went springs first and they looked good but were definitely a short stepping stone to coilovers. That's just my opinion but our cars really look more stream line and flow so much better once the wheel gap is cut out. And the car looks great man!

Car looks dope and those wheels look really good. I recommend coils too...had springs on my previous car and wanted coils more and more everyday.

kevwcon is on a distinguished road
That looks awesome and sounds great. All you changed in the exhaust system was the muffler? I looked at mine and it seems easy, just unbolt and remove hangers. Did it make a huge difference in changing just the muffler?

It's pretty much just a muffler and tip. Some people report about 2-3 hp change by changing out the stock axle back with an aftermarket one, but you will never feel the difference, unless you got an entire system done one day.

It was just unbolting 3 bolts and two on the rubber mounts themselves. I just reused my old hardware, the bolts they give are not the right pitch. The fitment is a little funny, tried modifying the rubber mounts, but they don't carve out so easily. So I got a longer mount for the front one and helped some to center in the bumper hole.

I really like the sound for just being an axle back, and for only a $120 plus taxes is really good in my opinion.

Thanks Just did another thing with the exhaust. Made the axle back into a cat-back. Now it has 2.5" pipe shortly after the cat to my axle back that has a 2.5'' inlet. No resonator either. Sounds much better now.

Hid's!

I figured out a few days ago that one of my bulbs had gone out from my Nokya set of bulbs, last time I ever use that brand. Only lasted about 7-8 months.

So I finally got a set of H13 hi/low 55W 8000k HID's installed for $170 at a shop in Garland, TX today. Looked under the hood to make sure everything wasn't hacked up after completion.

They did a pretty good job from what it looks like after sifting through the wiring. Don't know exactly what brand it is though.

Pictures will come tonight hopefully. Pulled it into the garage with the door closed to see better and looks promising. Will figure out how bright at night.
