All 4 CV shafts will have to be custom made. Contacted CVtech to get the ball rolling on that.

Ordered some 1000cc injectors to go in.

Had to re-do the mid pipe for the front header. For the second time. It was interfering with the intake. So pulled the engine back out re made it. And got it all back together.

Engine bay starting to go back together.

Just wondering how the bigger arp main bolts worked out, do you still recommend them?

Yes I still recommend them. The engine held up so far. But only needed if your going big power.

Time for an update.

It took a little longer than I wanted due to the original company I asked to make me the custom CV axle's totally Failed. But CVtech built them for me quickly. So My car was down for almost 9 weeks doing this conversion. But Going to the right CV company it would have been 7 or less.

Rob Z roll cage in.

Top strut mounts rotated to add caster.

Custom CV axles from CVtech.

Some shots from under the car with AWD installed.

Was on the alignment rack yesterday. Yes the car drove there under its own power and AWD.

Before. It was very bad. Couldn't drive it properly.

After. Much better.

I still have a few things to fix. A massive oil leak that has come up is the main thing.

I had some fun in the snow tonight. It was nice to finally play with the AWD. AMAZING.

What's the AWD distribution?
I have 85% rear, 15% front. When rear spins the distribution goes 55% rear 45% front.

Just a quick question, why did you use the ford main bolts over the arp vr4 4bolt main studs? Seeing as you had to drill and re tap the vr4 studs screw right in.

This is a bit of a revival, but I need some input from people- as I am seriously considering undergoing a rear mount turbo install next summer (not a guarantee, but I'm researching heavily).

In this image, the exhaust from the wastegate is just kind of shot into the void (meaning it doesn't go out the back of the car). Could you run that pipe into the exhaust piping coming out of the hotside of the turbo? Like into the y-pipe that splits out into the exhaust that exits from the back of the car? Or is there a specific reason that it has it's own exit? Would it create resistance and back pressure that would be harmful to the engine/wastegate/turbo/any-other-important-components?

EDIT: Alternatively, would it be against some kind of unwritten rule to run the exhaust from the wastegate out of one side of the car, and the exhaust from the hotside out the other? I'm wanting symmetry, but to be completely honest, as truly immature and ricey as it is, I want to ensure that all exhaust exits in a visible spot, because I really, really, REALLY want afterfire, and I know it will happen cause I'll be running catless. I know, I know... shooting fire is a silly goal, but it's my guilty pleasure, and I won't let anything get in my way. \_(ツ)_/

Wait a minute, OP has the Tanabe STB & the stock bar installed at the same time? :O

EDIT: just reinstalled the stock bar under the Tanabe. Fits like a glove!
