I am now trying to photo shop your car with a Kaiju from the Godzilla movies in the most badass way possible, now success right now

I would be happy with 100 whp less with my engine build, damn, that looks like a drivable power band up to 4250 rpm, then, it just looks like you have a rocket is strapped to the dyno

It was pacific rim that half inspired the name. But any giant monster will do. LOL.

It is very drivable. Feels like a normal GT up to that point. Then all hell breaks lose. But it only makes full boost when its hot. I want another 100hp then I might be happy. LOL.

Thank you.

No I need more mods. And more are coming.

Staying with 94 octane pump gas for now. E85 isn't easily available here. Once it's available from the pump ill consider converting. 94 is available everywhere here.

I know you did most if not all the work to your ride, but I gotta ask, what's the grand total costed you up to this point!? I'm also curious on how the LSD holds up with the mad hp and is the tcl button useless with it?

Thank you. Cost... For everything. Oh boy. I don't car to admit in public. LOL. So far the LSD is holding up well. And being a helical LSD when I corner hard the inside tire lifts off the ground enough to spin it. Ive changed the alignment to help this problem this year. But the TCL does work some on the track. Usually It turns itself off. It gives up. LOL.

Engine bay. Not much to see really since the good stuff is out back under the car.

Front splitter is on and ready for the weekend.

Ya,my oem clutch has been holding out longer than I expected so I've been waiting to do the clutch and LSD. This summer!
Was just curious on if the tcl worked along with it or not. Thanks for the input. So with all the extra hp and having a turbo, what are you classified as in terms of racing?

Thanks guys.

Well I cleaned the engine bay yesterday. cleaned the rims. and took the car out for a spin.

BUT I have bad news folks.

The worst has happened. I took the car out for one last shake down before the big weekend of racing. Everything was going very well. Car was working amazingly.

Sadly the turbo started to make some noise. Pulled the car over and to take a look. And as the car was idling it sized. So the engine is coming out this weekend. The engine builder is picking up the engine from my house this weekend as soon as I can get it out. The turbo has been returned to the shop. Hoping to get warranty on it. The turbo bearings have totally been destroyed. I need to find out what happened. So I can prevent it from happening again.

Its a set back and it means no racing this weekend. I hope the damage isn't too bad.

Don't worry this is only a minor setback. The car will be running again shortly.

Sounds like you loss oil pressure. How did the oil system for the rear mounted turbo setup?

Its feed from my remote oil filter. Lots of oil flow.

I cant wait for the turbo to be repaired. So Ive ordered a new one. I will be repairing the old one as a spare. I'm still hoping for some sort of warranty on it.

The engine is currently waiting on a few parts. Bearings, head gaskets, etc. And some machine work. Crank polishing etc.

I'm hoping to have this up and running very soon. It all depends on how long the engine is going to be at the machine shop.

Good luck with the warranty on the turbo, precision was charging me 1000 to repair my ball bearing 6262 which I bought from them 3 months before it messed up. They have no warranty. That's why I'm now running a Garrett gtx3582r. Never going back

I know its a long shot. They really should stand behind their product. Ive ordered a second one while I'm waiting for this warranty.

Thank you. Its a labour of love. LOL.

I went to visit the machine shop today. Where waiting for some larger ARP studs. But he's hoping to have it back to me in a week.

was the turbo crapping out why you spun a bearing?

I think crap from the turbo plugged the oil line to that rod bearing. No oil = destroyed.

OR

The main studs stretched causing lower oil pressure to that rod. There was also some minor damage to the two centre main bearings. This debris could also have plugged the oil passage to that bearing.

So to prevent option one I'm installing a larger filter (I have a small strainer in it now) in the oil supply line to the turbo. And a oil pressure sensor on the turbo. And a oil filter on the turbo return line. This will save the turbo if the engine caused the problem. And save the engine if the turbo was first to go.

And

To prevent Option two. I'm having the main studs drilled and tapped for even larger ARP hardware. Thus beefing up the mains further.

that would be the first time I have ever heard of these main studs stretching

I think it may have happed to the guy in Florida. And its happened many times to the guys in Australia pushing good power. Even with the ARP studs.
