Alright so just an update. He is still working on the car. we ran into a little snag with the body kit. The splash guard fits in the wheel wells but it doesn't stretch out enough for a fitment under the front of the bumper. There was a gap of about 4 inches that needed to be filled. One option was just to remove front splash guard... Or option two just find some plastic and screw it up there... So that's what i did. Had a brand new Rubbermaid 33 gal garbage can just sitting that i used a saw to cut out the plastic and the body shop guy Dave helped me out quite a bit.

Sides are installed and now hes looking at painting the front and rear and a few minor things. I'm hoping Wednesday to be finished but am pretty sure it will be Friday.... Which sucks because I'm on a 5 day weekend right now and really would of liked my car back this weekend....

Yeah I know what you're going through. I put my 07 spyder in the shop 4 mondays ago with an expected finish date two weeks later. Went by the shop this morning (end of week 4) and still not in the booth. Starting to get pissed but I don't want to rush the guy he's painting the whole car and fixing some body damage so I want him to take his time and get it right. UUUggghhhh! this sucks waiting.

Alright... I finally got my car back. Im not 100% happy with it. A few snags with the kit. He did a great job in the front and sides. But the rear bumper it doesnt sit flush exactly on the left side. He said the company that made the kit didnt provide enough material on that side to put some bolts in. Now everything else i like except that portion. So im going to take it back here on friday and see if theres something else to knock out. These are not the best pictures, i have been pretty busy and will take some better pictures soon.

And here is where the issue is....

So... Im not sure excatly. Its not bad.. its just its bugging me a lot. Maybe its just my car OCD kicking in idk.

Well after a while of looking the car over there are a few mistakes im not that happy with for what was paid. Honestly the paint on the back is already coming off on the corners by the fenders like it was chipped already. The front has a lot of some residue of something stuck too it. I have not had a lot of time to try and remove any of it yet. The front has a primer section that was missed when painted. Not a giant section but still something i wouldn't expect. And among other steam of issues and head aches. And now the front of the hood has a cut either from a key or from the hood flexing or something... I'm sure it got keyed... Honestly i have lost a lot of motivation on my car since it got back from the shop Heres a picture of the mark on the hood.

I talked to my body shop about a few of the issues i had and he was more then willing to fix anything. He told me he wanted to wait until the 20th of this month for the paint to adhere to the car and settle. He also wanted to finish some other projects and for a fact will fix anything. Idk what to do about my hood though lol. Im really not wanting to fork out more money on getting it repainted again...

I will keep you guys updated.

Damn dude that sucks. It's hard to find a good shop, but when you do, they will be your best friend. As for the hood, they will get theirs soon enough I'm sure. People like that are more miserable than you're feeling right now I'm sure.

Alright so after dropping the car off to get finished. He did fix 90% of the issues i wasn't happy with. Except now lol....... I got keyed again... At least that's what it looks like. It looks like someone keyed my car for the second time right next to the first one. Except its not, after looking at it closer and some google image searches its not keyed. If you type in car keyed on google it will look just like the car was keyed. After really looking at the spot it happened there are little rough spots like chips that are allowing it to spread like crazy. So now not two keyed looking lines but three! Yeah body shop guy is already willing to fix it. But now its taking the car back... Taking the hood off... Getting it painted... Blah Blah Blah. I will post some pictures of the great non key marks shortly.

So its been a while and i thought i would update.
I decided to finally install the speakers i had laying around for a while.

Had to make a new trunk board. And had make a new board for the subs to sit on. Also needed to re carpet the rest of the wood because the old sub took up some room. We installed the amps on the backs of the seat because we can still fold the seats back up if i ever have people in the back.

So i didnt lose and trunk space and if i ever have someone in the back i can still just move the subs forward and lift the seats. All and all its great!

Should of done this a while ago... lol

Thanks, kinda... I was looking at how they were sitting and figured if I slammed on the brakes or something the subs might go flying in either direction. So the cargo net that's just sitting in the car just rests on top of the subs and attached to where the seats attached too... Lol it looks like my subs have a hair net or something . It does work better though for normal driving.

Thanks!

I also changed out my blue led strip in the back to blue eagle eyes.. Its pretty cool. The led strips were dim and i had a hard time getting them to stick to the plastic in the trunk. (Pics soon)

I do have some more mod plans but need to save up...
I dont want to give all the secrets away but it will be pretty epic and its something to do with lighting.. lol

Another idea im working on is Im trying to figure out a way to mount fog lights... I see how Nitro did it with his bumper but i might have an idea or two that looks a tad bit different.

Yeah it kinda makes me want to go back to stock... But then again being one of a kind in my area is pretty cool. I see a few other eclipses but nothing actually worked on. Like they just want to run it till it dies or something..
And they don't even wave! lol

Thanks Gabriel, It gets worse though lol...

So i hit some piece of concrete at my grocery store and broke two rivets in my back bumper on one side.. long story short and 5 zip ties later i got it fixed to where its not coming off again. Two new rivets and now it Needs some touch up and to fix the slight crack i have.
Body shop guy will help and he is going to repaint my hood soon.
All and all it was better then how it sounded.

I also posted this two hours ago but its not showing. So i do apologize if for some reason it shows up twice.

On a positive note i did get the pictures of the eagle eye lights lol.

Before...

To this.

So this...

To this...

I like how bright these are now.

I think im done with blue leds.. If i did any more i might start absorbing the blue and start glowing all on my own.

Looks good!
Those are bright!

Do you have them on a toggle switch, or are they spliced in the trunk light, to only come on when you open the trunk?

If on toggle, how does it look from outside with the trunk closed?

No they are tied into the trunk lights. So if I open door or trunk they all turn on. They are all wired to the dome light so I can still turn them off and on any time. I can still take some pictures once I have time from the outside .

Flash on...

Flash off...

Alright... After a long while... I have been trying to figure out how to attach fog lights back to the bumper.. I seen Nitro made a frame out of aluminum and it looks nice but it seems to stick out a bit. After months of trying to figure it out... i came across this a club 4g members post on his fog lights. He put them behind the grill... LOL! so simple and its just as effective. I was so mad at my self for not figuring this out sooner. So a big thank you MFTK and your sweet idea because it freaking rocks!

It took like maybe 1 hour... Used my original fogs from my bumpers and am quite happy with it. Im waiting till dark to take some pictures.

Got a kick out of the PS3 wrap haha. It looks really good though man! Really really good! I wish I had the patience to make vinyl wrap work that well!

Dude that looks sick! I've been thinking of using vinyl for my interior too. How hard was it to do?

Alright honestly if you have no experience doing it. It might be like 6 out of 10 depending on the item. The shiftier piece took me the longest. But the stereo piece took me more vinyl then anything else. Just give it a shot man you never know what might happen lol.

Mind linking us to the vinyl you used? A lot of choices. Not sure what's good quality or not. I'm assuming yours is good quality based on the pics!

Alright so its now time for my great surprise i have been waiting on.
I believe i am the first person to do this. I know people have taking the headlights apart and painted but i believe im the first that put halos in the 09-12 hid headlights!
It sucked 100% to do! Nothing worked well.. Im not 100% happy with what transpired.
Lol so i ordered some RGB halos from Retrofit and they are great! So bright! I did have some issues with them. They have been at my house for like a month or so. Idk from plugging in a few times or what but the connections on everything broke. They wires they use suck so bad. I had to solder everything together. The down side to that is not a 1 piece unit. Later i will add connectors of a sort so i can unplug and what not. But man these wires were bad.
So i took apart my headlights again and cleaned everything! Spent two days just cleaning the lights. As im putting them back together i accidentally placed one of the headlight covers in superglue lol. I wish i was joking when i say that. Long story short i now need to get them repainted and what not.. I had a few snags here and there...

Long story short let me know what you guys think.

As i said RGB so i can change on the go!!!

So yeah not bad... Not great.. Pictures always look better then in person
Enjoy!

OH!! i also forgot. I added leds in the turn reflector on the headlights for turn signals on the side now! They look great!

I just have a quick question, how did you bake your headlights? I have the Projector OEM headlights as well on my 2011 eclipse. What parts did you take off, obviously the D1S bulb... but what else?
