Went with my brother today to get a flow master put on his truck and a guy in the shop told me they stopped making eclipses . Hard to belive, last I heard they were one of the most loved Mitsubishi car's .
My only guess is they are stopping production to do a major revamp / redisn of the eclipse. Much like Chevy & doge did.
Just my theory anyway. Still think it's a bad move. but not up to me I guess.

The eclipse is a good seller in the US...but anywhere else the sales are very bad wich is the reason of the choice. This car sucks very very bad in REAL winter condictions so in Canada they can't manage to sell this car.

Is it the handling, engine, or all of the above? The coldest my car has had to suffer was an ice storm in Atlanta that lasted a week....

You cant even use those in Canada...we can get 40cm of snow in a day and there is a law now for winter tires here. The eclipse is a bad winter car because of 1. Its a heavy car(1485 kg) 2. Its a FWD car 3. The shocks when driving are horrible since its a sport car

Please someone clarify I just read the January 2012 issue of super street on page 20 it says due to all other companies making sporty cars Mitsubishi will stay in the game with the eclipse and due to the response of the last or almost last eclipse to look forward to a new take on the eclipse . I pray rwd or awd and more hp

Little known fact, theres actually quite a few things you can do to upgrade an e- car; speed control, gear ratios, armatuer(?) windings, roller contacts instead of brushes, electromagnets, so on and so on. U can upgrade most to about the equivolent of 1000hp just by doing simple(but expensive) shit to them

You know if they are going to can so many and not bring the eclipse back they should at least make the evo a freakin 2 door or at least have it as an option instead of just 4 doors. .
