What's the most overestimated car on the road?

We've worked through cars that are faster than they're perceived to be. But what about cars that look fast but are indeed slow — at least according to the guy with the stopwatch. What's the most overestimated car on the road?

Indeed, the latest (and soon to be discontinued) Mitsubishi Eclipse GS has the curves of a sports car, but the performance of a sad tuba. For one, it take more than eight seconds to get from stopped to sixty, which makes it slower, by degree, than a turn-of-the-century fishmonger's cart. Sure, you can opt for the faster GT, but then you might want things like handling and steering feel, both of which the departing Eclipse has none.

and when you think about it, a 'Stang V6 (except for the last gen) looks fast, and it's slow too... what about all the cars our GS / GT can beat???...they can pick on the Eclipse all they want, it's discontinued now, so it's not like they're gonna hurt sales or nothing... and who really gives a f**k anyway about what they think??

while the GS is indeed a slow tub of bricks, bone stock ive raped v6 mustangs and v6 chargers, but noo those cars are american, they cant be bantered by biased pricks like mike spinelli.

I have to say, after driving many many cars in my lifetime, that the GS Eclipse handles extremely well even in stock form, especially for the weight.
